Such an awesome group to volunteer their time and gear for free....

Shit happens and vehicles get destroyed.

Did they tow or drive it out? Would be awesome if it was driveable.

I'd be very surprised if it was drivable at that point. There's a pretty good chance there's damage to the suspension, steering, and drive line that would only get damaged a lot worse if they drove it.

It was towed to a camp ground and then to an In N Out for pickup by a real tow truck. It's a push button start and the computer would not allow it to crank.

Can't tell for sure but looks like no blown airbags so wonder if it was shut off in neutral and pushed over the cliff.

    It's debatable

What if your house was off a dirt road?

Why do they make a toyota with off road option?

What's the difference from rolling your vehicle on a highway or dirt road?

If you claim your vehicle as commute and pleasure driving, how can they not cover you off-road? I'd understand if they covered you once and then warned you they would drop you if it happened again.

From what I've read, it generally covers you unless you're competing. Could be wrong.

Not sure there, but here unless it's a "public road" you are on your own.

You'd have to read the details of your policy, specifically the comprehensive coverage details.

However, like BigRonDog mentioned, most companies will try like hell to tell you to kick rocks. Some companies even have off roading clauses in their policies.

There are quite a few locations to camp, fish, hunt, bike, etc. that would be considered "off roading". I imagine the circumstances come into play. For a totall loss, I would expect some questions from an adjuster. Better have good answers.

First thread I have read start to finish that was 18 pages. Couldn't bail. Sorry to those who messed up their trucks but I'm just the type that can't look away from the train wreck. Thanks for the good times.
