QFT. It is constantly ranked one of the best schools based upon value. It is also ranked pretty high on the average salary after 10 years lists.

This is what I'm hoping my youngest son will do, my nephew has been in the air force for 10 years and was talking to him about it.

Nice, SUNY Canton was right next door to where I went to school. Not a lot up there so it's easy to focus on school. I really enjoyed going to school there but it's not for everyone.

She liked the campus but was alittle taken back when she saw the dorms. Typical old school style. Clean but musty smelling small rooms with cinder block walls

You mean not all dorms are like that?

The 'rich kid' dorms at UNE are nice. I went to a few of those for parties back in the day and they were like apartments. But living in them cost the kids something ridiculous, like an extra $10-15k a year. :der:

My sister-in-law's car has a coolant leak. It's the bypass pipe, on a bend, right where something else connects to it. I want to do a temp fix for it, but that's kind of a tough spot to fix. It's a pinhole leak. I don't think ducttape would withstand the pressure and heat. Is there another tape that can?

You could sand it down and wipe it clean then put some JB weld on it and wrap that tightly in electrical tape. I did a similar "temporary" fix on a cracked gooseneck on a Jeep Cherokee and it lasted over a year before I finally got around to replacing it.

    :notsure:

I considered JB weld. Would it be ready to go after it sets, or do I have to wait for it to fully cure? She was hoping to use the car tomorrow.

If you did it tonight it should be ready in the morning.
Another option too is to do an old school cure my grandfather showed me, if there's room. Drill a hole just bigger than the pinhole, tap it, and put a machine-threaded screw in there.

Of course, that requires a tap of the correct size and metal thick enough to hold it.

Thought of that too, but rust is the cause of the hole. So I could make it worse.

Yeah, if it's rusted enough for a pinhole it's probably not thick enough for that. I saw him do it with a coolant pipe on an old tractor, and also saw him 'fix' a cracked cast iron block on a lawn mower the same way. Drilled a bunch of holes in a row, tapping them, bolting them, and cutting the bolts off as he went. He was cheap like that.

But definitely had thick material to work with both times.

There are some epoxies that set quick that would likely stand up temporarily. Wrap it with something so it'll be stronger while the epoxy is wet.

Could probably get creative with some high temp RTV and a wide hose clamp.

Are both sections the same size? Cut the hose and use a hard pipe "T" fitting
