How do you turn off the nanny features? I have a sport is that possible? When would it be best to turn them off?

Recently bought a 2016 TSS... I didn't expect to buy a new truck when I went look at the used lot. If I had seen the TRD Sport, I would have 10000000% went with it. The features you get when comparing cost between the TSS and TRD... man, I am kicking myself. I should have been more patient and visited other lots.

A little buyers remorse, but whatever I guess.

You have a 4by4 Sport I assume? If you don't, how did you manage buying a 6 speed manual? I tried to buy a manual with my 2wd Sport but that was no go says my a Dealer...maybe next year they said...

I've got a 4x4 DCSB TRD Sport in a manual. Just kept looking and looking and finally found one. I LOVE IT.

I don't believe you can change it.

I was quite upset when I saw that the 2016 Rav4's get the curvy-lined camera and one of these awesome overhead 360 views.

Now like don't get me wrong, I don't think our trucks NEED this.... But I am a guy who appreciates a high-tech impressive gadget strictly for the sake of creating high-tech impressive gadgets.

Hood latch randomly popped loose driving down the highway today. Other than giving me a minor heart attack no big deal the safety latch held the hood down till I could pull over. No idea why it just popped it was firmly closed.

Anyone have some input on weld-on sliders for a DCLB? I see BAMF makes some, but the lead time is quite long...

Anyone with mods to their 2016 Tacoma Limited model grille? I want to plasti-dip/paint my grille but debating on dipping the centre chrome emblem and bezel also, or leaving them as is. Just wanted to see if anyone had any pics to help.

I have a white limited model...

Speaking of huge grills. .. there's about 10x more head turns and compliments driving this rig than my blacked out 12' DBL cab.

And I haven't done jack shit other than SR grill and wheels....

Anyone else notice all the love? (And no I don't have a Free Tacos Sign on my truck)

I have a similar parking lot of Toyotas. I've got the 16' Tacoma MGM DCSB 6speed standard and I've got a 1989 hilux/pickup access cab 3.0 v6 5 speed. Now that the weather is getting nicer I drive the 89' more than the new Tacoma.

There is a thread on this. Some have posted the problem is from pluging in your phone to the USB and still connected through Bluetooth. Not sure if your doing that. I have yet to have the issue but as I said there is a thread in this forum about it. Good luck.

Love the truck. Had a few issues. Nothing a couple $$ and a bit of time couldn't resolve. Owned Toyota trucks since the early 80s. This one is my favorite so far. image.jpg

Watch cause i heard that anything welded on will void truck warranty .. i can't attest to this but heard others talking about it in another thread saying " make sure they are bolt on that use existing holes "

I have had it happen occasionally maybe 3x over the last few months. I don't have anything plugged in via aux or BT. I noticed this last time it happened it was immediately after a good sized rut in the road at highway speed.
I'm going to find the thread...
