Would love a review on its climbing ability. I've been eying the Jeffsy but all the reviews I'm reading don't talk much about how well (or not) it ascends. I've ridden pretty much every linkage design and the DW-link is the benchmark for me. If it's anything like that then the Jeffsy will be my next bike.

Well, although I have yet to ride the Jeffsy, if it's anything like my Capra(which I have every reason to believe it will be) I can say that it absolutely climbs like a goat. The Capra climbs crazy good, especially considering it's aggressive geometry. I get virtually zero pedal bob and the bike just feels planted and handles tech and long grinder climbs with ease, although sometimes my lungs can't keep up...

As for DW link, thats a great benchmark, My carbon Pivot Phoenix has a DW link, and while I don't really climb with that bike, the level of performance is remarkable.

What I can say about YT is that they definitely know what they are doing. I had an opportunity last summer to meet their designer and he's definitely a smart guy. Not to mention the rider roster they have giving them input on bike performance and design is certainly helping them produce some top level bikes. I had a good buddy of mine doubt their bikes(he owned an S-Works Enduro as well as an S-Works Demo) and was somewhat of a spesh fanboy.... Then he took the Capra and Tues out for Demo's at which point he put both of his Spesh bikes up for sale and bought matching Capra and Tues...

I should have never sold mine. It was straight off the GT Team truck. Back up bike for Juli Furtado. No doubt one
of the sexiest Ti frames ever. That triple triangle frame was a perfect design. Won dual slalom and downhill races
    on that cross country bike.

Sort of a side note (questionably related to riding), my buddies wife gave me her old Fitbit Charge HR as she got the new fancy Fitbit the other week. The band was a small so I called up Fitbit to see if I could get a new band and they said just send it in to them, so I did. I just got a brand new Charge HR with the correct band size in the mail. That's some damn good customer service - and yes, I told them that the thing was given to me from a friend.

Had a blast today riding this Trail 3! Such a smooth ride and handled great on sharp turns. Still need to break it in more, but I love it so far.

Got a good ride in today.

If any of you are in or near the Charlotte, NC area and haven't ridden Backyard Trails yet, do it. This was our first trip there and it was a blast. I'm not into the big air and huge downhills but I do like the technical single-tracks and this trail has plenty. Main trail is 8.3 miles with a beginner loop of around 2.5 to make 11 and some change. Got a few pis of the ride and a few of me riding. Only been on the Chameleon for a year and a half but I really like it. Huge upgrade over the old Gary Fisher.

I'm guessing you guys know a lot more about bikes than I do, I've been a motocrosser most my life, and my lbs can't fix anything to save their lives so heres a question for you. My front tire has some crazy side to side action when Im hard on the front brake. I can't wiggle it by hand or anything but when i brake hard its almost like its pulling the wheel to the side. Any ideas whats going on there? The axle seems fine and its only a year old so i wouldn't think the bearings would be shot already but who knows. Bike is a Giant talon, bout as basic as they come.

Is the wheel straight on the forks? What about brake pads? Are they wearing evenly?

Pads would be my guess. Maybe one has grease on it and isn't working. Or maybe one has too much grip. Make sure they engage evenly.

My Scott Scale Team has done this since the day I got it. Best I can figure it the side to side wheel flex I'm seeing is a combination of my 220lb weight and the added torque a 29 in wheel adds to the equation when braking. To test this I held the front brake and applied a little pressure on the pedals and it became very apparent there is quite a bit of flex in my fork as well as my wheel when the brakes are applied. You can actually see the fork twist and then the spokes and rim torque even more which compounds the issue. The way I see it, my fork and wheel set are OEM on a $1k hard tail so they are on the low end of the spectrum when it comes to build quality, and cheap wheels flex. When you add a larger wheel (more leverage) the flex multiplies as compared to a similar quality 26in set up. For what its worth, I also notice my rear wheel flex a good 1/2in to the side when I really crank on the pedals. I plan on upgrading to a higher quality fork and wheel set in the future and just for good measure, possibly a 15mm through axle. I think that should fix the flex issue.

Pic was taken tonight, just got the wheels built and lost my chain master pin. So gotta wait until tomorrow.

But i've had every version of a FS bike Kevin makes sans a following. Revolt, Undead, Uprising, Insurgent and now the Wreckoning. I've sold my DH bike as doing only 4-8/days a year at whistler and riding big bear mostly I was just aas fast there on my Canfield Balance as I was on my Operator.

Kev builds one hell of a fun/fast bike. My undead tried to kill me every time I rode it. Eventually succeeding in my overshooting a jump in Whistler and hitting the bridge on freight train over dufman(?) and tearing 3 ligaments, dislocating my patella, tearing my patella tendon, rupturing my meniscus and fracturing my tibia. I bought a new evil once I could ride again. I split bikes between Canfield and Evil usually. Both fantastic bikes and great guys.
