I have a 2008 Access Cab 4wd, and I haven't gotten any letters, but I've only had my truck since July of 2015. Am I not affected or am I just not yet in whatever database they use to determine who owns what?

Took mine in for the inspection, and had the spiral cable done. The guy at the service department was saying the inspection would take 1-2 hours, and I had to laugh. Now I'm waiting to hear back that they have the parts on hand to change them out. They are saying the replacement will take 6-8 hours and they have no idea when the new springs will get there. You could tell they are in full "oh crap, how are we going to deal with this" mode.

    Status

    Remedy Not Available

Did you have a 2+1 leaf pack or 3+1 leaf pack before? And what did they put on?

I had the 2+1 packs before, and they put 3+1 packs on.

I've been noticing a squeak from the back left when I get out of my 15. Been busy so haven't brought it in. Any other 15's have this? This TSB is only up to 2011 correct?

    Not enough
I received my letter early March so I emailed a Service Advisor at my local dealer with my VIN and told him to order whatever he needed so I would only have to stop by the dealer once. Guy emailed me back saying the parts were ordered later that day. Finally heard back this morning saying parts were in. I guess a month isn't as bad as what some other guys are waiting?

When I did the oem 4 leafs on my reg cab I got 3/4" lift from them vs. the oem 3 leafs that were on it.. Put my rake back to 1.25" higher in back. Was only 1/2" higher before 4 leafs.

So.... I just got the new leaf springs put on 2 days ago. Rides much better but now my alignment is off a little, does that make sense? Was perfect when I took it in, not now.

Is Toyota giving you guys an alignment after replacing? Would changing the leaf springs affect the front at all.

    Thx

The recall remedy is finally available here in California.. I actually have an appointment tomorrow morning for "inspection".. I'm hoping that they'll have the parts in stock already so they can just slap it on and be done with it.. I've been waiting for weeks to get this recall done so I can throw on my lift and wheels!! :annoyed:

I don't see how it would affect anything other than toe on the rear if they don't get axle exactly where it was. I know there is pin on leafs limiting things but I'm pretty sure there is a little wiggle room that the alignment machine can see. I know mine isn't perfect after changing my leafs. Saw that when I got new tires recently and alignment showed the rear toe was off. I plan on having that addressed after I put my LR UCAs on and get alignment. Wanna see if they can loosen u bolts and give it a twist and get it closer.

You think i should call the dealership and see if they will do an alignment for free? Seeing they caused it.

I just got new tires and an alignment 3 months a go.
