Okay. I finally was able to meet the guy that has the black 2nd gen. His name is Kody and I let him know about this thread and the meet.
He has a black regular cab, lift, and bed rack.

I swear he threw around the idea of selling it at one point verify and if I would have had the extra cash I would have jumped on it. I'm friends with him on Facebook and on a couple groups. That cruiser is sweet for sure.

 

Yeah I saw that he had said that in our group chat about selling the Land Cruiser. I think he should keep it. Hope we get a few more guys for more off road chat to go with.

I THINK they are... I had these in my '08 initially. Two retainer clips on each side.

 

Matt. Remember, the suspension is transferable to a '16. Same suspension setup as a 2nd gen. Just 1" higher from the factory.
Also, if you want to keep your wheels. I don't care if you want to test fit them on mine.
