I see I see, so more of a H.A.M.B. Guy than a Protouring guy. More "Kustom" and less Muscle. It's all good, I got love for all sorts of old iron.

Pretty much nailed it. My uncle had a blown 32 5 window, and I am a fan of hot rods as well. Muscle cars aren't my cup of tea, but I like old stuff all the same. The muscle car cult just gets overwhelming sometimes.

    Here's mine...

Running a built 200 6cyl with triple carb offy intake mated to a T5 5 speed tranny. It's quick enough as is - only approx. 2,400lbs.

Was wondering when you were going to stumble across this thread...

You must have the Falcon back on the road again for the season by now?

Yup. Took it out on Sunday and then to work on Monday (it was in the upper 70s on Mon).

I'll post a picture of the engine when I get a chance to take or find one.

I've got most of the parts to convert to 5 lug. Debating on bagging the gal while I'm at it...

Figuring out the donor stock height roof and how to go about fitting before redoing the chop.

    That's a wrap for today.

Cut the old roof off, set the uncut donor roof on and went about measuring after some head scratching.

This of course is not the finished roofline, but this is where it will stay as far as the chop is concerned.

Didn't take any pics of the roof at stock height, but we ended up adding 4.5" of height to the roof from the chop the previous owner attempted. We took approx. 4" out of the stock roof on the re-chop, so you can imagine how low the roof used to be! 8.5" chop!

Looks good, and with a low enough seat it looks like you can still fit. How low will those T-bird back seats sit?

I'll be sticking the seat in next weekend and seeing how much rear headroom there will be.

Don't need it to be for adults, so not really an issue. Hoped to use a bench seat up front but I'm 6'7" and my buddy is 6'4", so probably going to be squeezed out of bench seats up front. Going to try some mid 60s Mustang bucket seats and see if they'll work. They fit the overall style of the rear seat (64 TBird), and I have access to a totaled 65 Mustang with its interior intact.

Not ideal, but should fit okay. Low back seats without head rests, and they fold forward for backseat entry so it's not a bad setup. If not, not sure what direction to go.

Have you thought of replica seats? Year One has a ton; I would think something like early Chevelle seats up front may be low enough to allow you to fit.

Haven't thought of seats much at all.

But everything is tight budget wise, so we are priced out of anything new, at least in large items.

Might be cutting a bit more off of the roof as it sits now. This popped up and flows really nice, the extended catwalk and curves look pretty awesome.

Not sure if we can lose that height, but we'll know this weekend when I toss a seat in and check head clearance. Also need to leave a little room in case we need it later when the frame is done and the body gets swapped over.

You probably did. This yard is right off of highway 50 between Huguley and Lafayette. Across from Rest Haven funeral home.

I used to know where there was a Willys Cabover like that but the guy said he would never sell it and chased us off the property with a shotgun! I heard he died and the willys is gone.
