    There is a middle ground here. Massachusetts is full of clubs where this behaviour is not just normal, but it is encouraged. Mostly in Boston. And mostly where their baseball fans hang out, but this is a fact.

    So;

    Join a club where this is okay and don't complain.

    Or;

    Join a club where this is not okay and you don't have to worry about it.

    Either way, we have all agreed that the Boston Red Sox suck.

    :)

    Would have yelled at him and reported it. I don't buy this relativism garbage. Whacking it in a public space in a public gym is wrong and this dude isn't a poor victim who needs help, he simply needs to learn to be considerate and some self control.

    I agree the behavior is inappropriate. Just trying to figure out why people want the poor bastard caged.

    Once while on my lunch hour with a group of co-worker I decided to hit the head on the way out the door of a KFC (hate that place anyway). I was a small place (in another state) and had only a single holer. I pushed the door to the shitter open (it wasn't locked) and a dude was...pleasuring himself. I was so dumbfounded I just turned and walked on out of the building (what else would I have done??). I had nothing to say to him mostly I guess because I didn't have the presence of mind to say anything.

    at least he was in a bathroom stall, not out in the open where anyone could see. I feel bad for the guy you walked in on lol, though that's what door locks are for.

    edit: I feel bad for you too, no one wants that burned into their memory

    No stall. It was a toilet and sink in a room with a door. That door was right off the entrence to the KFC. With the door open one could see the customers as the walked in and out while seated on the toilet.

    Yup. Not sure if he didn't know the door wasn't locked or he wanted someone to walk in...either way I didn't know what to say.
