Is this truck a photo chop job? The 3rd gen is a few inches wider...I wanted to do this on the interior and exterior with my truck... but found it was smaller so it's too much work. Would love to transplant the interior dash and everything from 3rd gen to 2nd gen. If it's real...nice job on getting it all to fit.

    Nope not photoshopped.
And the 2nd gen and 3rd gen use almost the same shape body
So I don't see why you would thinking a a few inches wider

Because I read the product spec of gen 2 vs gen 3 and I remember about the 3rd gen interviews saying they used only a few percent of any gen 2 parts and it's mostly new items and they said it was a bit wider and longer.

If you compare the specs gen 3 is wider and longer. So body work would have to be done to fit the same chassis. If you looked at the for sale section in the gen 3 parts...the tail gate is wider and taller.

So why do you think 2nd and 3rd gen use almost same body shape? If it's real conversion, then it's a lot of body work to make it fit...but that's a guess on my part.

If you compare the dimensions of the 2013 PreRunner or 4x4 to the 2016 it's within .2 of an inch on width. The tailgate width is identical, as is the tread width. I'm betting it's doable, like when someone puts a 2012-15 front end on an earlier 2nd gen.

2nd gen shows 74.6 inches wide and 3rd gen shows 75.2 inches wide (seems you didn't include the overfenders unless that's an option). Prerunner (4x4) and such comes flares stock in 2nd gen, but others do not so have to compare the correct numbers.... unless 3rd gen has overfenders as an option and then it would be 0.2 of an inch difference.

Ok, so what are we looking at exactly?

    A 2nd gen frame/cab that's gotten a 3rd gen front clip/doors/bed along with paint?

A 2nd gen frame/cab that's gotten a 3rd gen front clip/3rd gen altered door skins on 2nd gen frames/3rd gen bed and paint?

A 2nd gen cab on a 3rd gen frame with an interior transfer, door mods, etc.?

    Something else?

(Seeing why Toyota dropped the RC. The Jimmy Durante schnoz ruins the proportions)

The 2016 critical dimensions did not change, so this is definitely possible to build. The length is different between 2015 and 2016 because of the bumper changes. The width is different because of changes to the fenders/box side panels. The cab is the same width. In fact Toyota didn't even release a new body repair manual for 2016, they just used the 2005 manual. All of the measurements are the same for the frame and cab.

I am shocked, I was called names by bunch of douches here for what they deemed blasphemy by saying its the facelift second gen...

In the meantime somebody face lifts 2gen with 2016 front clip just like that.
    Irony..
I wonder where all turd gen douches went ? Probably doing Justin Bieber symposium.

    BTW ... Well Done OP
