What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I just had a friend make them locally. He can get about any color you want. He had this blue. So, we just went with it.

Just got the truck back from Airaid and took it for a quick spin.. Initial impressions are that you definitely know it's there, and is pretty loud at wide open throttle. Seems a little more responsive off the line, but wont know much more until I actually get some solid seat time. They ran over time today so they didn't really get to analyze the dyno numbers, but will be doing that in the morning and getting back to me. What he did say was that they were able to make "more" power, however I wont know what the actual number is until I get a chance to talk hard numbers with them. Anyhow, they left the intake on for me to do some long term testing with, so I plan on running a few tanks of gas through the truck to see what. if any mileage increase I get etc..


Edit.... wow, just went on a little 8 mile drive, and averaged 22.4 mpg.. which is quite a bit more than I could get prior to the intake.. I'll be keeping a close eye on this for the next week or so.

 

If I thought it would do it justice, I would.. However I don't know that it would really convey. If you're around Scottsdale anytime, swing on by and you can hear it first hand

 

Worth it?

 

2 things. Installed a MagLite D-cell clip to the side of the drivers seat. And IDK why but my gas mileage has SIGNIFICANTLY increased on this tank of fuel. I was averaging 19-21MPG and out of the blue I'm getting 24-26MPG. Not that I'm complaining.... And it's definitely not wrong I can see that with the overall miles I'm getting this tank.

Got it my truck today and noticed the "tank average" fuel economy had reset itself with a quarter tank of gas left. No fuel added today. Found that strange. Anyone else notice this?

 

After seeing everyones, couldn't help myself. Looks 100% better

 

I'm out of Modesto. We should put a local group together. I don't think there is one as far as I know.

 

I had my body shop install it. He mentioned adding a couple extra supports to hold it tight against bezel? He is picky! Enjoy!

 

Put new weather tecks in and drove her home from the dealership.... Adding N-Fabs tomorrow.

 

It has slanted sides. I'll see if it has a part number on it.
