There have been two replies from Toyota so far on a majority of the issues. Either:

    1. "Oh, wow, we've never heard of this one"

    Or

    2. "It's normal, every Tacoma does that"

    So, we wait.

Surely Toyota can't run production of this Tacoma as it sits for another ten years until next redesign.

Like they didn't with the 2005-2015s?

That's sticking your head a little too far into the sand for me to not be an odd comment.

2016s have some of the same issues the 2005s did.

    Wake up.

One thing Toyota could do is read the TW site and see what people are complaining about, I know GM reads the Colorado Fan site because I've seen them post there many times and offer assistance to their customers!

I've seen people post here many times and say Toyota really takes care of its customers and GM doesn't. Seems like its the other way around now?

A lot of people get really offended that people even bring up the issues on the forum. Chill out. If you own a 3rd gen and you like it, that's awesome. No one needs to defend the honor of the Tacoma.

I quit creeping the pages of coloradofans.com when I traded my 6 month old 2015 Colorado in on 11/9/15 for the 2016 Tacoma I have now.

That's a pathetically accurate statement and a dynamic that certainly ruins this forum. I was a prominent poster on the leading bmw forum for over a decade. BMW forums are generally pretty douchey. But they don't come anywhere close to how aggressive & defensive 3rdgen Taco owners are. I'd love to post more, I'd love to share my modified truck and my numerous professional photos, but this place is toxic. I had a good bit of posts on my other handle-name. I started a post about how much I loved my new truck, and all the features such as manual seat adjustments. People on here imploded in a very childish manner and started attacking me as the poster. The mods did nothing, so I stepped away and months later made a new name to leave it all behind.

I want to like this place. I want to be active. But the 20% of asshats on this forum are not worth being exposed to. Now I come here only when I need something in particular, like bed cap info, but of course this meaningless thread caught my attention.

I have owned and been regulars with many many car and motorcycle forums, and this is the first and only forum where trolls run rampant. I believe it's the lack of moderation. Something about this forum just seems to bring out the worse in people. I admit there is a lot of good info here, and that keeps me coming back.

You must be referring to your thread. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/our-fuel-gauge-is-a-joke.422192/
I never replied to it, but your "fancy pants queef wireless phone charging" comment had me rolling. Don't get your panties so twisted, it's just the internet.

You can use the "Ignore" feature and vaporize the 20% asshats and Tacoma World becomes a beautiful place. Try it you will like it. I have a long list of asshats on my ignore list.

There are more Tacoma's than Colorado's so I think there would be more input from Tacoma owners $.02

Nah, I had another user name months ago like I said, but that thread is a great example as well. Look how people attack me as a person, instead of countering or explaining my post topic. I pointed out an inaccurate measuring gauge, and people tear me apart as a person.

I personally don't buy into the "it's just the internet" idea. It's the internet, yes, but it's still communication. It's still human interaction. And no matter how I interact with other people, it's concerning when the interaction is aggressive and toxic. It makes it unpleasant. This forum pushes away meaningful conversation and idea sharing, especially when the topic calls into question the new tacoma's build quality or anything else that could be perceived as a negative. It's hard to have a conversation where everything must be a positive all of the time. That's not how people communicate.

I think you hear more complaints here vs the Colorado forums because we have higher expectations for Toyota. I like my truck, but I don't love it. Too many small issues. I personally wish they were still built in Japan and think if they were the build quality would be much higher.
