I am really amazed at how much of a power increase there is at 3500rpm.:burnrubber: It is almost as if it went from running on 4cyl to 6. With how abrupt it is, I wonder if it is a programing thing that Toyota has done for fuel economy? Maybe some day we will get a tune that can open up the entire power band?? I am not complaining about the low end power, just can believe how much difference there is from 3400rpm to 3500rpm.

    Like every other true driver.

Press clutch, engage gear, let off clutch find sweet spot then tiny bit of gas, fully release clutch, rest foot on dead foot rest, then a lot of gas

Repeat as many times as you want... it's really fun and less boring than an automatic.

    Mostly stuff I built.

You don't even need the throttle in first gear. Just gently let it out and let it creep along. Pretty easy if you ask me and a hellofa lot more fun to drive than a slush box.

I had heard about 3500rpm thing before I got my truck and just had to try it. I have mixed feelings on the break in period, for new vehicles but tend to lean more towards just drive it. Plus I have 100,000 mile warranty, so phuq it.

Meh... You will be fine. I have crossed 1500 miles and I could tell a difference in feel at 1000. So I played with it after that..

My TRD Sport MT had to be special ordered but.. It has all of the bells and whistles with the obvious exception of push-to-start. It did include the blindside & backup monitors, moon roof, Premium Sound, heated seats, etc. I really did not need the full tech package but the wife likes the bells when she needs to drive the Taco instead of her Rav4. For me it was a trade off.. No Taco or get the bells..

That said, I was able to get the Taco on something other than pavement for a short drive today.. Even though it was little more than a gravel road I was grinning.

Oh, I did check the Zerks on the drivetrain today. All of them were dry or just barely had any grease in them. I stopped by the dealer and they had it greased up and the transmission fluid (was 1/2 qt low) topped off in a matter of 5 minutes.

We MT guys need to make sure we check this issue too from the Factory.

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
I wear a 14 and have no problems. Ill get you a picture!
