    I installed an Airflow on my brother's XTerra last weekend. Took about 2hrs to install. Not terrible to do, just time consuming with the mock up/prep work. I'm not happy with the bracket. We temp installed it with double stick tape until we have time to come up with a solution.

    1. True.
    2. Not hard. All you are doing is rerouting the air intake. I suggest you measure it on the fender on your truck. Then cut the hole. Then remove the fender so it is easier to get that snorkel really tight against the truck. Removing the fender is easy.
    3. 10mm wrench. Drill. Maybe a hose clamp. Drill Bit. Maybe some tin snips. Beer.

    I have installed 2 of these snorkels before.

    The socks might be extra.
    I am trying to get them for free.

    I gained maybe 1 mpg. But I was more happy with the ability to drive through water without a worry.

    Is a K&N filter fine to use or should I go with a paper? I am getting tired of oiled filters and getting my maf dirty.

    Sounds like you're over oiling the filter. I have a TRD filter, and just give mine a lil spritz of oil and done. Remember, more flow, more go.

    I really didnt think I was being excessive with the oil, and I definitely did not want to under oil it. I guess I will use less..

    If you have the aerosol sprayer, just one light pass is enough. If you have the pump, three or four pumps ought to cover the whole filter

    I read that the k&n has the worst filtration percentages.
