Everybody appreciates a nicely built, slightly raised, rear end.

Yea I hope so too. Just so many different options for the rear end. Wanting to do everything at once with a decent amount of travel while also keeping my bed an no bed cage.

Another almost free option is find someone who just replaced there factory pack and see if you can have them. Then cut up your own aal's. I added 2 to my factory pack and it handles the weight I have much better now. Not 100% on how much lift I gained but I'd imagine it would level your truck.

Maybe so... I've learned they're out very many people that do much if building off-road trucks near me. The guys at autozone took me to a spring compressor when I asked if they had a spanner wrench... I don't think too many people will have a set of springs laying around sadly...

ALOT of money worth of shocks to put in factory rear location. Much of an improvement?

Yes, a lot of money and after much internal debate & struggle I've made my peace with it.

I noticed a big improvement right off the bat. Of course everything I took off was shot, pretty sure original 130k+ miles on them.
I can finally take the speed bumps at a decent speed at the mall!

I'm in the same boat for the rear. Not sure I want to buy them to go in the oem spot and am trying to find another good solution to set them up to

Well, I'm going to start on replacing my timing belt, water pump, and radiator tonight. I've reviewed my Haynes manual, the FSM, and a couple of websites. Anyone have any additional tips or hints for me?

Going to take awhile. And was very frustrating for me at least. Many trips to autozone to rent tools, etc. Forget which pulley it is but the main one near the front, you have to hold it an twist the nut in the center. It is torqued a lot so it was difficult for me. Rented a chain tightening tool which did the trick. Also was hard to get the timing aligned right and must mark the pulleys that the belt touches. Hard process for me at least, good luck!

Well, I've blocked out the entire weekend (except for an unavoidable commitment tomorrow afternoon), so I hope that will give me enough time. Chain tightening tool is a new one. I've seen a web tutorial that suggested a special tool using a piece of steel stock with some holes drilled in it for some 3/8" drill bits, which was the plan I was going with. I'll keep your's in mind too, thanks.
