You only asked a question. I'm ok with that! I can talk about some of the plane. But there are things I can not talk about. And issues with the plane and contract stuff I can't. The general capabilities of the aircraft and the general info I am able to.

Sorry if I opened a can of worms. Just thought it was cool that "your" plane ended up here.

You are good. I love the plane. But outside of "it flew, this is the capabilities, this is what you see in the news," I generally need to keep my discussion limited. I had to sign a few documents to be in the program.

It would be one thing if this was actively fielded by the Air Force, but this is still a Boeing Proprietary test aircraft. Under contract and under legally binding junk, I am limited to what I'm allowed to talk about. It sucks. In fact, I barely talk to my wife about the program just in case she talks to others.

...then you've never dealt with government contracts. Holy shit, you'd think they held the patent to pussy for how proud they are of their contract vehicles.

Until the bird goes through Operational Test and Evaluation, it's still a development aircraft. Airbus is still seven kinds of pissed they lost that contract (they had originally won it), and there are still urinary Olympics going on between them and Boeing. Billions of dollars (or euros) are riding on this, and they will guard it like the secret recipe for Coke.

Maybe you shouldn't talk about it at all if you not supposed to ... maybe you should pay more attention to the proprietary training you're ignoring by posting on a public forum.

I'm guessing you completed the training earlier this year

I dont mean "its not that serious" as the nature of some contract (which I dont care one bit about personally). I meant it in regards to NO ONE CAREs to hear about someone try to talk up some sneaky contract about being "Oh well im not at liberty to say certain things, its TS SCI etc whatever BS to try to sound important and cool.

This is what I am getting at, thank you ^^^^^^. If youre not supposed to talk about it, leave it alone, sit back, take it in and just talk normal aviation stuff like the rest of us in the forum. No one cares about how cool you think you are because of what you do. Be a professional.

(this may be the wrong thread to try to make that point....since its aviators were talking to though...haha )

I wasn't trying to offend anyone. If the article had been read, my point would have been realized. I didn't mention anything that wasn't public info. I have installed and tested an earlier version of the FRL fuel pods before... no secret squirrels there

Today one of my outbound flights was moving 3 sea lions from San Diego Zoo to Charlette. I got to spend about 90 minutes spraying them with water and feeding them froozen mackerel....pretty cool. They of course travel with their own animal handlers.

Here one of the sea lions and me in the back ground.
