Putting on my skid plate, bumper is already on. Two questions:

    1. I've removed the right side support that was there for the factory skid plate (right as in the truck's right/passenger side).

On the driver's side, it's held on with four bolts (two towards the crossmember, two up front). One of the bolts up front will not clear on the All Pro bumper. Besides taking the entire bumper off (which I do not want to do), I can't get the bolt out.

Am I heading down the right track, or is that support from the stock skid plate suppose to remain in place?

    2. For the rear of the skid plate, there are two holes on the frame to mount the bumper to, just no bolts in them (and no bolts included with the skid plate). Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over? Anyone know what the deal is here (am I missing bolts from my original skid plate or am I missing bolts from all pro?).

both of those braces need to come off. when they are both off, install is obvious. there was a post on this not 2 days ago

EDIT: the extra bolt from the front and the extra bolt from the rear braces should be the extra bolts u are looking for

I searched it, the thread I found did not answer my questions.

I've removed the stock braces and mounted it up in the front and the center portions, now the rear won't fit right.

It's contacting something on the transmission in the center, is that right? Doesn't seem so - figure if you hit the skid all the energy is going straight to that transmission componenet.

shouldnt be contacting anything. i'm not sure how you are putting this on, but now that the braces are out of the way u can put the skid on a floor jack and lift it into place. line up the holes bu the bumper and the rest should go straight up and in

I figured it out - the part of the transmission that the CV joints run to (transfer case?) has a drop bracket on it because of my lift to reduce the CV angle. That's what it's contacting.

The rear bolts wouldn't go - the hole was drilled the right size for about 1/16th of an inch, then it went down to a smaller, thread hole. Just so happens that the 13mm bolts from the bumper would fit it - so I used those with washers.
