Well it looks like you've got plenty of responses but I think that's too high also. But things are worth what someone will pay. When the add has comments like that one regarding newer vehicles with payments I figure they have money to burn, so they could be more open to an offer.
I paid $5900 for a 2nd owner 3rd gen with 135k and don't have $15k into it. Is locked F&B, Sc'd with 4.88's, bumpers, duct tape and zip ties.

Matter of fact what do you think I could sell mine for?? I always thought maybe $15k with al that stuff, but I'd piece it out I think.

The 2UZ is starting to be considered "easy" swap. Shops are making motor mounts and headers for the swap. But now the 1UR and 3UR...huge PITA. Biggest problem is the electronics...trying to make the engine and trans think they are still in their original vehicle.

I've even been thinking of going with a Chevy LS engine swap. Can get an engine trans with less than 100,000 miles for $2000. Wire it with a stand-a-lone harness. Hook up fuel and 2 wires and it's running. Speedo and drive shafts would be the major issues?? We'll see....heck I might sell it and buy an FJ??

Thanks for the numbers...I guess I looked at the two and kinda avg them...lol!!

You brought up one of my big unknowns?? Will the 5.7 fit?? It's a crazy wide engine...could believe it until saw it in real life. This is for sure a concern...lol!!

Yes sir...totally agree. Then go in and disable the VVTI

OK....now this is sounding promising!! The only person I know that has a 4.7 S/C is Singtoe over on T4R. He was the first that I know of to swap in the 4.7 into his 3rd gen....couple years later he tossed on a S/C. Awesome build thread...lots of pic!

@gerriputo how long have you been running your SC?? Is there a specific ECU that goes with the SC or did you just flash your OEM? Did you have to add additional fuel...an 9th injector? Or does the flash tune provide enough through stock injectors? Any idea on power gained? I'd think 80-100hp...but that's a guess? Thanks for the help!

The 4.7 supercharger came with a TRD piggyback. And I believe they were garbage, and so were the tunes.

I've got one of the 4.7 TRD blowers that I'm trying to get working on my 3uz, it's got the 9th and 10th injectors. I've got it all disassembled waiting to ship out for a rebuild and porting. Probably going to be a year-long ordeal though, what with all the unknowns, money, etc.

Why don't you offer lower. Looks super clean and well put together. I would probably say like 13k. Try offering. Worst he'll say is no.

I may do that. I'm still waiting for him to call back. I'm a little confused as to what is included because he wants to keep certain items for his upcoming 3rd Gen Taco build. I'll make an offer depending on what he's willing to part with.

Interesting. That could be reason to offer the lower price. Looks pretty cool though! What is the reason for buying a runner?

I've always liked them. I'm in a position to get one now. Good off-road day trip vehicle that allows me to bring my wife, kids and dog along. Could do an overnight trip in one and sleep in the back. Don't have to worry about scratching it up if I get into some rocks (unlike my Tacoma which I've got almost $50k into).

I get that. They are great overland rigs. They don't flex like a tacoma does though.

I won't pay that after doing some more research. That post was a bit preliminary. Thinking it's worth $12k depending on what's included.

Yea. I understand that, but I'm not going to do anything crazy in it. More of a family rig.

Just making sure. I try to flex mine and it's nothing compared to the tacoma. Doesn't matter to me since I just use it as an overland base.

I mean as far as set ups go, leaf springs will flex better than coils. Reason is all the links and trailing arms and shit.

I'd have to agree with danny there. Not the right setup. You're massive tires don't help. I think I might be able to pull a little more flex since I have pretty small ones...

Unclear of my plans that weekend, right now I am looking at RT. Will let you know.

I just drove through your state. Looked nice!

@SixthSnail imo 4runners flex much better than tacomas.
