Other than the random sobriety check/road block I can't remember the last time I was pulled over in any of my Tacomas, recently sold BMW or current Camry or 4Runner.

I attribute this to finely figuring out how to avoid the popo. It's actually pretty simple...follow the rules of the road.

The only people I see getting pulled over here are reoccurring individuals. There must be a pattern.

The incident I posted drops from 40 to 30 on a downhill and I know police monitor it so I was very careful.

Its funny you seem to catch feeling about what i posted mean while everyone else in here are talking about speeding in the car/truck. Which in my opinion is way more dangerous then 1 guy on a motorcycle if i where to get hurt or die that be on me and no one else.

No, not personally. Like I stated, hopefully no one gets hurt while you choose to run from the repercussions of your actions. Accountability..meh who needs it.

Unfortunately, that's not the case. Your fatality will involve officers in the pursuit (if there was one) investigating officers, EMS, Coroner, HAZMAT (gasoline spill), resulting traffic control officers (all who probably would rather be doing something else) laboratory personnel (toxicology) and inconvenience to motorists who might be detoured from the fatality site while the immediate investigation is conducted etc etc etc. Getting yourself killed on your bike isn't just a "bagg'em, tagg'em" inconvenience for you.

First, you should know I've got no dog in the fight & don't care. I'm not offended in how you handle yourself.

I would suggest the portion of your text I quoted is entirely incorrect. Let alone being able to hurt someone even if you are only on a bike. Further, you die, get critically injured or somehow were to get yourself in a position where you were unable to fully care for yourself....are we to believe you have no one who cares enough about you to be impacted by whatever condition you were in...even if they were not actually physically involved in the crash?

I got my first ticket in my taco with a 40 ft ladder driving to work. Driving 71 in a 55 the speed limit had just dropped and I didn't see the sign. Nobody was on the 4 lane highway either. Anyway cop gave me a $250 ticket for speeding and a $200 one for not having updated my address. Told the cop I had a pistol and showed my carry permit all he said was "just don't pull it out"

I'll throw in my experience since I think my Tacoma makes a difference.
I owned a lowered civic, cherry red, lowered, tinted windows, loud ass exhaust. I was pulled over A LOT. Most were fix it tickets. Some speeding.
Fast forward to the current Tacoma. White, lifted, tinted windows. I get stares and nods from local police, but have not been pulled over once. But they be jocking the truck though.

A few years back, I was off-roading in the Barry M. Goldwater Range in AZ with another buddy. We went where we shouldn't have and got caught. A ranger escorted us off the range, took our permits and banned us for a year. But no ticket.

    Never been pulled over.....

In December a couple of family members were traveling home from a family event, they were struck head on by a motorcyclist, because of they way they were hit the driver (My uncle) lost most control of the vehicle and went off the road and down an embankment.
All three people in the truck were taken to the ER due to injuries.

    Excellent real world example.

Sorry to hear about your family & hope all worked out in the end.

I heard the same logic from a drug addicted friend. I am friends with his family & I can tell you, he was certainly naive in thinking his dope addiction only effected himself...of course he was a young guy without a wider view of reality.

They're mostly healed, my Aunt still has occasional issues from where the seatbelt was across her chest, and my 13 year old cousin had to deal with seeing the remains of the rider, and the first responder (Off duty deputy) ran up to them while they were still in the vehicle to check on them and after making sure they weren't severely injured he told them "Oh yeah, the other guy is dead".

There are so many people that don't realize the effects of their actions.

I have been, only once though. Kind of a funny story.

I was just leaving a bar and we were having record lows that week. It was super cold and a bit snowy/icy. As I was waiting to turn right onto the main road there was only single car coming. I didn't want to try and pull out in front of him in the ice because I knew my truck would peel out a little going up the slight slope. So I waited till he drove by, turns out it was a cop. I was like "well at least he's in front of me so he probably won't do anything" Though I wasn't doing anything anyway lol. So I pull out behind him and as soon as I do, he pulls off the side of the road and lets me pass and gets right behind me. LOL DANG IT.

Minute later he flicks on his lights. I find a frontage road and stop underneath a large light pole (since I know they and myself like to be in a well lit area). He walks up to the vehicle. (Note, the bar I left was a country bar and me and the friends always went there to go country dancing on Tuesdays. So I was in shorts and a tank top since I always got hot dancing, I was freezing my butt off but I didn't bother to put my coat back on in the truck. I sat and warmed the truck up a little bit but figure'd I'd start driving to warm it up quicker.)

So with me being hot in a cold vehicle, what happens? The windows fogged completely up on the sides. So he really couldn't see in. I go to roll down my window...MY WINDOW WAS FREAKING FROZEN UP from the record lows LOL. So I'm sitting there like great, he can't see in, and I can't roll down my windows. Here's where I die haha. He was slightly leaning/pushing on my door. I slowly opened it up and pushed him out of the way a little "um...my windows are frozen up" and he understood luckily haha.

He stopped me for a lack of a plate light (tube bumper), but since he saw me leaving the bar he was probably checking for a DUI. But I wasn't drinking anyway.

He did his thing and ran all my info. He comes back to my truck and with a dead serious tone says to me "M'am it looks like you have a felony warrant out for your arrest."

I felt myself go completely pale. My first thought was "please don't impound my truck!"

"Just kidding you're good to go. Just make sure you get a light!"

    :censored::censored::censored:

I really didn't cuss at him but I was like OMG DON'T DO THAT! It scared the living daylights out of me lol. Obviously I realised he was just flirting afterwards but my god lol. Then I just drove home lol

    pulled over a couple times,
first- I was 17, just got my license, made a right into the inside lane of a two lane road and was kinda all over the road because I was reading something, it was like 9pm and no one was on the roads the guy let me go seemed cool. wasn't in the tacoma
second- was going about 38 in a 25 but since my inspection was 1 month out he gave me a ticket for that.
third- was taking some pictures of I95 off a bridge at night (open shutter stuff) and apparently people thought i was throwing rocks or something over the bridge onto cars which obviously I wasn't, he found where I parked and pulled me over right when I pulled out, inspection was about 4 months out at this point, no ticket :D
fourth- pulled over on the highway for inspection being 6 months out, I knew for sure I was getting a ticket this time, asked him for a break before I handed over my license insurance and registration, sure enough, insurance card was expired like a week :facepalm:no way out of it but he let me off with a mandatory court appearance which was only like $35 if i showed proof of insurance. since then I finally passed inspection and haven't been pulled over
Ive got a 4 cylinder so yea I agree with what those other guys said I don't even bother speeding, usually I'm no more than 5 over aside from giving it the beans on an empty highway once every blue moon (80mph tops in this thing lol)
