Yeah. I'd honestly just sit it out and wait for a response from Pelfrey. I know they are probably swamped with work and family stuff right now, but they are not the type to let this slide. Great people.

Just for the record, I'm really not stressed about this. I can do a little bending to be able to wheel it lightly. If I have to, I'll do a small body lift.

I've had great experiences dealing with them. This hasn't soured me in the least. I just want to go wheeling this weekend.

Haha, nah. Shit happens, I'm sure Pelfrey will make things right.

Not much you can do really other than bending pinch seam like others said (which I wouldn't advise for a couple reasons). You bend it up, factory paint will most likely crack, flake, scrape off. Then you're challenged with getting paint on the pinch seam to avoid rusting out the pinch seam which will work its way up the rocker panel. Plus, the pinch seams are spot welded every so many inches connecting the floor pan to the rocker panel. They might seem like an insignificant area in the truck, but bend them up and you can allow moisture all up in there. Theyre usually sealed from in the cab with an adhesive or silicone. The only true fix which would be a freaking nightmare and not worth doing is cut the sliders off the flange, move them down, weld them back in and repaint or powder. But the amount of work it would take to do that would be crazy and easier to just replace them. You'd never be able to cut them off and reweld them without them looking like hell and having gouges from where the tubes were welded to the plate. We've had a few people state that ours look like theyre "floating", this is why. We keep them away from the pinch seam more than others to allow flex, but never contact the truck in anyway. Steel flexes, no way around it. Gussets help, which all slider vendors do but it'll still flex a little bit. Just wait and see what the seller says.

I think the best option if you don't plan on using them is to just remove them for the weekend. Unless you'll be in rocks

Would also make sense in case they want them back and send him a new set, although I doubt they'd want them back. Cost in shipping to return is almost not worth the cost and aggravation Im sure.

I had my sliders welded on lower because I didn't want them to flex into the body. I get the floating thing.

Lol thanks! This is the pic I took after hitting a tree :( I smacked a branch going like 30 to get that dent in the side. Just happened to be my best pic of my sliders.

lol I totally get it, I took my new-to-me '04 on our first off-road outing together a couple weeks ago, turned out to be a much bigger adventure than I bargained for. Fortunately I avoided any body damage but I did bang up the skid plate some, and even though you can't really see it unless you really look, I feel like I hurt her :(

I took out my 2015 OR with only a few months on it (see the image in my sig). Pinstripes galore. Almost feels better like it is broken in and not pristine so I don't have to worry about it. Someone opens their door into my truck in a parking lot, completely different story!

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
I think a lot of people notch the pinch near the slider contact points? I agree with @SixthSnail hit up Satin and run it by them first.

    Time for aftermarket skids.
Sliders prevent that. I love pinstripes.
