Well after 4 tacomas just traded my 2016 sport after 5 months

    ALL auto makers kick out a lemon once in awhile, that jeep may well be trouble free for the duration of ownership, conversely he could've kept the 'taco & empty his wallet chasing issues...

    His is not the norm, I've got 7,000 miles on mine and absolutely love it and have had zero issues. Make the choice on what you want to do not based on the small group of other members bad experiences, they're always the loudest. If you read too much on here you'll start thinking your truck has issues it doesn't.

    I never liked the electronic shifter much in my JGC.. I much prefer old school positive stops on the shifter and a dipstick on the transmission <-- looking at you Toyota :)

    I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
    $6000 in 5 months that is horrible resale value. That would put 2016 below 2015 with the same mileage, now that is something.

    True. Seems some owners can't figure out the gearshift and how it works.

    That said. At least Chrysler announced and is doing something. Have you heard anything official from Toyota on the issues outlined on this forum regarding the new Tacoma? Any TSB's, recalls?
