Access cab with child seat in the back, yellow wire mod, diff breather relocated to tail light, engine block heater, Leer topper with Yakima tracks and rack, Yakima rack on cab, Ride Rite air bags with Daystar cradles, CBI hidden front hitch, wired for winch front and rear Warn quick connect, Warn x8000i on external carrier, sway bar delete, trailer plug relocated to under bumper, Pelfreybilt IFS and Mid skids, BAMF Tcase skid, ECGS front diff bushing, ARB CKMA12 compressor, 255/85/16 Backcountry MT 3 load E tires on stock steel rims, Toyo M55 tires (same size) on another set of stock steelies, Up2NoGood heated mirror kit, Husky X-act Contour front floor liners, Northstar AGM 24F battery under the hood, Northstar 27F in the cab, Redarc 25 amp DC to DC charger, Pelfreybilt bolt on sliders with kickout and top plates, TRD Pro headlights, Depo smoked tail lights, Energy suspension body mount bushing kit, OME Dakar leaf packs with AAL, OME rear shocks, OME 90021 front shocks with 885 coils, SPC LR UCAs, Up2NoGood 2wd low range mod, 4 Wheel Campers Grandby slide in camper, 4xinnovations high clearance rear bumper, Uniclutch 800 lb/ft clutch
No basket, but Yakima Q tower rack up front and the old rail version (locking rail rider) in the rear. I lose 1 - 1.5 mpg with the rack on.

Ya that does look cool. I originally wanted a topper and then the load bars on that but pretty pricey brand new.

I'm looking to put my kayaks up top. How do you like that set up with your canoe?

DIY, made out of Unistrut and some aluminum scrap materials I had. Will be making a compliment to it for the cab soon.

I love it! Before I had the shell on the back, I just had the cab rack. It wasn't enough support for a 100 pound canoe at Baja speeds down a potholed Forest Service road with whoopty-doos big enough to get the truck off the ground  :D :annoyed:

Let's say I learned my lesson (mostly) and drive like a sane person now, especially when there's a boat on top. Important note: This was user error, not failure of the rack to do it's job. There is a matching dent on the other side...

It could be more expensive to not buy the topper with the racks, as you can see.

Edit: I got the topper off CL for $450, I already had the bars/ towers from my last truck, and I bought the new tracks for a little over $100 - so pretty budget on my setup.

    So much like happening here!

Sorta, check out my build thread it's spread out over the last ten pages or so. When I get some time I'll consolidate it with a better write up.

Mine is Drunken Yard Fab. Made it out of unistrut and 2"x2"x.250 wire mesh. Made the huge wind deflector out of lexan and integrated my 50" ebay bar. It scoops under the bar to eliminate windshield glare from the light bar.
