LOL I was helping my "girlfriend" with a dilemma. She is switching to Verizon from Sprint but she wants the HTC Hero. And shes getting confused about it.

I was talking to a live chat person and this is how it went down.

Please wait for a Verizon Wireless sales representative to assist you with your order. Thank you for your patience!
A Verizon Wireless online pre-sales specialist has joined the chat. You are now chatting with Kristopher
Kristopher: Hello. Thank you for visiting our chat service. May I help you with your order today?
Kristopher: Are you an existing Verizon Wireless customer?
Lents: I have a few simple questions about the HTC Eris and the Sprint HTC Hero.
Lents: and I was a former Verizon Wireless customer
    Kristopher: Okay. Cool.
Lents: Are they the same phone, basically?
Kristopher: Well I never seen the hero but is it an android phone?
    Lents: here's the link: http://nextelonline.nextel.com/NASApp/onlinestore/en/Action/SubmitCoverageMessage
Lents: And I think it is an Android phone.
Kristopher: Thank you for waiting. I'll be with you in just a moment.
Kristopher: Hello. Thank you for visiting our chat service. May I help you with your order today?
Kristopher: Are you an existing Verizon Wireless customer?
Kristopher: Well they have similar software but I dont want to tell you false info because I have not seen the hero.]
    Kristopher: But.
Kristopher: The Droid and the Iphone compare in different ways. Sure the Iphone has great features. It includes a 3.0mp camera, it has the ability to download a great amount of applications, you are able to sync the Iphone to your Itunes list and use it as an ipod.. The Droid has a great 3.7 touch screen that allows you to place a great amount of applications on to it and all of the applications work all day everyday.. It also has a 5.0mp camera and a camcorder with DVD quality. Also, you will have the choice to text message with a physical and virtual QWERTY keyboard versus using just a virtual keyboard on the touch screen with the Iphone. If something were to happen to the Iphone, you would send it back to Apple and wait for a new device which could take a while, but with the Warranty that you can use for the Droid, you will be able to send it back to Verizon and receive a new Droid in no time. You cannot go wrong with the Droid. Will this device work for you?
Lents: In the specs and pictures, they seem to look like that same phone.. Like the screenshots
Kristopher: Cool. But they work good. I love mines.
Lents: Well this is for a friend of mine. I might help her get it for Christmas. I have the iPhone and I love it. Best phone I've ever had.
Kristopher: Cool. that is how my roommates feel also. Lol.
    Kristopher: Take Care.
Kristopher: Thank you for visiting Verizon Wireless, I look forward to speaking with you again. Have a great day!
Lents: I had the Dare. It was a great phone but it just didnt have what I needed.
Kristopher: True. I broke my Dare.
    Kristopher: Bye.
    Lents: Thanks.....
