I'm good Doc! Found my bolts in a box where I keep any fasteners I take off the truck!
All sound deadened, insulated, painted and mounted for the final time!
    image.jpg
I also had an issue with the bolt length after I installed everything. Luckily I had some M8 bolts laying around! Glad I spent the $20 at harbor freight for my bolt organizer.

What did you use for the coating? I was just at a couple places looking at the bed liner but it's difficult to tell how rough they are by the can. The texture on yours looks pretty good.

It's rattle can wrinkle finish. The trick to using it is applying the paint in even coats while the panel is warm. Otherwise you can use a heat gun to get the paint to wrinkle correctly. The thicker the paint, the more pronounced the wrinkles. What you see in the pictures is 3 light coats with heat gun applied after each coat. I've used it for several panels on my truck and have never had a problem. Aux fuse block, Iggy panel and now the molle panel all match.

FYI, I've also had good luck with duplicolor and rustoleum bedliner but the issue I thought I would have was when trying to weave the pouches into the panel, the grip of the bedliner texture would make it harder to do so. If young you decide to go with bedliner, I'd suggest light coats from 12-15" away. Move quickly to avoid runs and build up of the texture in one spot.

Thanks. I'm still undecided and I'm pretty sure it's not happening this weekend... I like the idea of the bed liner because I think it would be much more durable. A few coats of paint would probably be just fine, too. Then again, I could probably toss it into the powder coat booth at work, as long as I can live with haze grey.

I used the rustoleum beadliner. No issues with it grabbing the material.

So what can we do to get this advertised to get the other 28 people we need? I am willing to do whatever to help get it out there.

You guys that are making the modifications to your to get them to fit, would you make a note to snap a picture of the modification and provide as much of an "accurate' measurement that you can. Talking about bolt holes, cutouts for JBL subwoofers, LATCH mounts. Also make note if your panel is sitting on carpet, aftermarket sound dampening material, dead hookers, and so on.

Lets try to help make the CAD file for this as universal as possible help everyone.

*Plus, I just wanna see all the cool shit you guys are doing to your trucks.

Well you've seen mine. Only thing I would change is the upper for bolt holes. Make them about 1/4 bigger on the bottom side. This will allow adjustment to everyone that may or may not use a mat or carpet.
