Can anyone tell me if this is a decent little pistol? I have the chance to pick one up but i'm not sure if its worth getting.

I'd pass on it... Save up and get a Ruger/Smith/Taurus.

Yeah the bit of research I have been doing doesn't look very impressive. Ole boy said he was going to get rid of it cheap, I didn't ask how cheap, but considered it as an additional pistol to the Judge and XD9. This one was a sub compact.

Yeah, I did a bit of research myself on it and wasn't too impressed, BUT it is a good price for a subcompact... That being said, I'd just wait and save up for another nice .380 in a trusted brand. Taurus has a nice weapon at affordable prices.

BTW, how do you like the Judge?

I love the look and the feel of it in my hands. The weight and balance are nice. I also like the ability to fire such a different variety of ammo. Now I don't care for the fact that the site on my barrel is crooked, slightly rolled off to the right. I have fired a variety of 410 rounds and am not impressed with any of them. The slugs are far better though. By better I mean accurate as opposed to some #4s, but by no means is it accurate. Now the Colt 45 is damn nice. This is a fine gun for shooting things what I would call very close. I hear its great for snakes, I however have never had the need to shoot a snake. For home defence I think it would be fine to scare the criminal, its loud and would sting the piss outta them. I keep 3 rounds of #4s and 2 Colt 45s in it. I load it like that for my girl to keep by the bed when I am at work, we live in the country and don't have much crime here. She also has my xd9, and SKS very close to her. She shoots well with all 3.

Oh my Judge has the 3" barrel and shoots 3" shells. I like the 3" shells because I have a shotgun that uses the same ammo. Less confusion.

I own a Cobra FS .380 and have only shot 50 rounds thru it, but it has fired them all with no problems. If you buy one be sure to flip the Safety off and on about 100 times to loosen it up. Also rack the slide about 200 times to loosen it up. Make sure you clean and oil it well. Also eject the mag about 40 times.

This gun is very stiff out of the box. It is also a very heavy pistol and if you run out of ammo you can beat someone to death with it. :)
