So yesterday I pulled by subwoofer box out from behind my back seat. Only to discover that it was severely water logged. So today I sprayed around my back glass just to make sure It was actually getting in from the outside and not extreme condensation. I don't know where it's coming in but it is flowing in between the back of the cab and the sheet of metal over it and coming out of the bottom. I have no idea what to check or how to check it. Has anybody had this issue? Any help?image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Its a little messy but sprinkle some baby powder inside around the likely areas then hose the truck down. The water will leave a trail in the powder to where it entered.

Sounds like a good plan I'll see what I can do. But I'm thinking it's coming from an area you can't see. I say this because of where the water ends up coming out

I had a similar problem with my 2015. There was a spot in the body that wasn't sealed properly and the back seat floor was getting soaked during driving in rain. They had it for a week fixing it and replace the carpet.

Clean the area it's coming in. Seal it with some silicon. That's what I would do

Now that I think about it I have found the bottom of my weather techs wet a few times. I just assumed it was condensation and never thought much about it

I had to bring it in a couple of times before they were able to figure out how the water was getting in. It wouldn't get in just sitting in the rain, only when driving in it. After finally spraying water in at the perfect angle they found it. Appears to have been a factory issue with some machine that does the sealing between the folds.

    use lexel

    1) it sticks far better than silicone

    2) can be applied on wet surfaces

    3) if it still leaks lexel sticks to itself whereas silicone won't, so add more

Well one good bead of silicon later, it no longer leaks. I'm going to test it again later and then again next weekend and maybe during the this week once or twice. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

If you have any trouble with the silicone bonding or eventually cracking or separating, pull it out and use automotive seam sealer. Stuff is awesome. Sticks to just about anything and doesn't shrink, sag, or crack. I like SEM but most of them are probably just as good and maybe better. https://www.semproducts.com/marine-maintenance/1k-seam-sealers

Is that where the leak was at?

If the leak was higher, wouldn't the water collect where you sealed it, and rust?

It's very hard to explain how the water is coming in but this is stoping the leak. It was coming in where the two panels connected
