My battery butler also worked perfect, but the options on the cteck7002 will fit my needs better.

Out of sight out of mind. Just take things easy...
Still waiting on two motors to come back from the machine shop and Dyno room. Need to get a cust job done before we work on the race car. If we can't pull it off we'll pull out the other one and get that ready instead.

I need the battery tender because a 11.1:1 sbc with locked out timing puts a strain on my optima red top

    IM NOT GONNA TELLLLLLL...LOL
    this was back in 70's.
Had an old accel duel point dist. I welded the advance plate solid.
Used the secondary set of points (yes points ) as my total advance set at max. Used a dist machine to reposition the primary points for starting. Found the right position and drilled the plate. Ended up with like 6 degrees start and 34 total. Used a switch on the dash to run the points.
    Pretty neeto right ??? :yay:

Are you sure your retard is working ?
I have heard of those things not working. My boys boost retard quit and melted a piston.

Yea he's under driven too. Roughly 6 to 8 pounds boost. Cooling was an issue at the start also but new pulleys and radiator has it livable." I was never a fan of internal coil hei and he has one. Trying to get him to swap it out. Been zapped to many times.. Lol

    Yes I've got a 4 cylinder ,

I bought the truck with the K&N FIPK already installed so I can't give you a definite answer . One thing I'm getting ready to do though is wrap the intake tube in heat sleeving to keep the air inside at or near outside ambient air temp

As for the K&N filter being dry " non oiled" , I learned this trick after watching my friends dirt Sprint car run laps with a dry filter . He was seeing close to a 1/2 sec faster lap times and just used a K&N filter sock over the filter for added filtering

Howdy! Back @ work. The wife and I took the day off yesterday and spent some time in quiet surroundings at a lake we go to from time to time. Did some fishing. Nothing to write home about, but we caught enough decent sized blue gill to make a meal. Just sat and absorbed nature's beauty mostly. We had a lot to be thankful for, and we NEEDED to decompress. There's still a few tough days ahead, but the outlook is MUCH brighter than it was a few days prior.

Of course....Life goes on. I get back to work to find that 2 of my employees were fighting and arguing all day yesterday. My phone was blowing up all day yesterday with text messages trying to get me involved. The drama dragged in a few other employees, and now I have to play "hockey ref" today and send 'em both to the penalty box. One may be leaving after this episode. Always fun.

Glad ya'll took the time together. I loved panfishing when we lived in Illinois.

And thanks for the reminder I'm doing the right thing avoiding the management jobs for my second career. ;) Sure is nice having the first retirement check coming in gives me the option, I'm very blessed and I need to remember how much so every so often.

Have a great day buddy, again, so very happy for you and yours. :)
