If generals have daughters and are on or near a base they are going to get fucked. It's not if it's when. It's how they get fucked that makes the story.

Got my chickens sitting in the brine for the next 24 hours.

Tomorrow I try my hand at smoking for the first time. Hoping it all turns out well.

Did this with a turkey one year for turkey day. We deep fried it, which is tricky with all the liquids but damn was it good!!!!

I'm gonna inject them with butter and herbs, rub a spice mix on, then low and slow smoke them for 4 hours

4 hours may be a little long for chicken and might end up over smoked. I'll do a whole chicken on the Traeger at 425* for about an hour, maybe a little longer and its damn near perfect.

This smoker only gets to 275. Masterbuilt s website says 220 for 3 hours. A buddy who has the same smoker said to run it at 195 for 4 hours and it will be great.

If youre going to be running it that long use a really soft flavored wood.

I love mine, I use it all the time. Gunna start doing some comps here soon with a few buddies. Most of the time I'll find whatever is on sale at the store or hit up Costco and throw it on whenever I get home from work Saturday afternoons and run it all night.

Did the brine for 24 and bake in a Convection oven for turkey day one year and it was one of the best turkeys ive had. It rivals a fried turkey for sure.

I cant imagine brine and fry...

I cook my turkey for turkey day on the grill. So good. Have been doing it for about 10 years now. Took it over after my dad passed away. He would cook it on the grill too.

The last few years we've buried our turkey. Add your spices and stuff it with Apple's or whatever you like. Wrap it in a old bed sheet and then with burlap. Wrap it tight with bailing wire and then make a handle with the wire about 3 ft long. Dig a hole about 2 ft wide and 3 to 4 ft deep. Start a fire in your hole and make sure the wood is burning all the way down to small coals before adding more. You don't want big chunks of wood left at the bottom that still needs to burn. Continue that until the hole is filled with coals all the way to the top. This usually takes 6 hours or more. Plenty of time to party! At the end of the night let the fire burn down and start digging out coals until you have 3/4 or more out. Dunk your wrapped up turkey in water to soak the sheet and burlap and place your bird as low in the hole as possible with your handle at the surface and cover it up with all the coals you dug out. We usually put an old stop sign over that and cover with dirt for even more insulation. It takes about 12 hrs to cook so we party all night and bury the bird around 2 a.m. The next day around 2 or 3p.m. you dig that sucker up and it's ready to go. No cooking all day, just unwrap and eat. The Turkey literally falls apart. We've carved our bird with our hands the last 3 years, no knife needed. Juiciest turkey I've ever eaten. The hardest part is staying up until 2a.m. and getting that bird in the hole after too many beers!

I don't know if there is a difference or was just the easiest location to go to but I was told to go to there oracle location.

    What wheel size (26, 27.5, 29)?

I've run a number of Schwalbe tires ($$$). Just put a Vittoria Saguaro 29x2.25 on the front to try at the recommendation of Trailhead Bike Cafe. Schwalbe Rocket Ron 29x2.2 on the back for quite a while. I might have an extra 29" tire sitting around still.

I think I had Maxxis Ardents on the 27.5 bike when it washed out and broke my shoulder, so I'd advise against.

I'm going to have to try out some 27.5+ bikes for the next one.
