Is that a typo? The 717 doesnt come close to that in fuel capacity.

    Stock and loving it
He must be speaking of a different plane. The 717 is a one hour plane. Its max taxi weight is less than 135000 pounds

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Boeing 717 is a completely different aircraft. Please, don't ever call the 135 a 717. If you want to call it anything, call it a dash-80.They only called the 135 the "717" until they built a 717 a handful of years later. Nobody in the aviation industry outside of the 135 world would ever call it a 717.

I am glad you are getting your truck actually worked on OP, and not getting the work around.

    Well...more bad news dammit.
Dealership called and said they replaced the crankshaft sensor. Test drove it and it acted up. I asked him to specify and he said there was a notable loss of power as if all cylinders weren't firing. Toyota won't release my truck to me now because of the severity of the issue.
So he suspects an oil leak and is replacing spark plugs and removing valve covers.
Will hear back from him on Thursday.

Hell it seems like everyone is trading in their gen2 now for gen3. I was at the dealership the other day and I counted 8 gen2 on the used car lot.

Tell them to take it back and give you another one. Seems like they stabbing in the dark trying to figure out the problem which to me is not good.

Subbing to hear how this turns out, and also tell my own related story.

Back before I got my current Tacoma, I had a '08 RAT (Regular Ass Tacoma) 4cl, ACLB. At about 90k miles I started getting misfires. Turned out to be quite a bitch to figure out what was wrong, and not as easy as just swapping spark plugs/coils around to work out which one it was. A misfire can happen for a lot of reasons. It could be your spark plugs, coils, injectors, valve cover gasket, fuel pump, wiring harness, fuel pressure regulator, or...god forbid...your actual cylinder or head (and probably some other stuff I don't know about). It ended up being a pretty expensive fix, since by the end of it I'd bought 4 coils, 4 new spark plugs, a new valve cover gasket (thank god for mechanically inclined friends or the labor would have made me homeless), and finally 4 new injectors, the last of which finally ended up solving the problem.

All that is to say, be glad you have a warranty and Toyota and the dealership seem to be taking care of you. Having a truck with no warranty is a motherfucker.

So, oil was found on the spark plugs.
A toyota field manager came out to inspect my car and said to pull the engine out and check the piston rings.
Another 10-14 days they expect once it's all said and done. So I picked up a loaner car from enterprise which I'm worried about.
God I'm so tired of all this!

That one plug is nasty. Did they do a compression test? I would imagine they would before before pulling an engine, but who knows. I would be curious to know the results/ percentage difference between cylinders. Keep us updated.
