So.... i painted my center caps. Originally wanted to do black with red trd letters. I'm trying to figure out how to paint the letters, I'm thinking i might do it by hand...... or should I say fuck it and leave them like this?

They're going back on regardless. I'm just trying to figure out if it's going to be too much of a damn hassle to paint the letters.

What about getting a vinyl shop to make some red decals the right size for them? Would look better than painting by hand, especially if I was the one doing the painting.

I got creative with taping headlights before paint. Most likely, no one will be able to tell. Which is good.

You got to paint them, then clear coat them a couple. Really depends on time haha

Done. Left silver around marker bulb, behind reflector, and turn signal so they are still bright.

Got the winch in yesterday. Getting all the factory grease out and replacing it was messy as hell, but only took about 20-30 minutes. I replaced it with Lucas Red and Tacky. It free spools super smooth and pulls in nicely too.

While I had the grill off already, also managed to get chrome grill surround off without breaking any tabs. Since the body shop is already going to have paint mixed for my tailgate, hoping they'll do grill piece for minimal charge.

That will look good. I think I missed it somewhere, what did you end up doing for a rear bumper?

Dave, which bumper is that again? You think it would be easy to make stock fogs mount in it?

Pelfreybilt front with no hoops. I am sure the factory fogs could be mounted somehow, but it would definitely take some work.

Held a meeting this morning with the boys at the DYF R&D dept. and Zacks project came up. After much deliberation we've decided to clear the schedule and give the DYF tire-gate prototype project (code name 35pack) FULL priority until it reaches final inspection and can be passed along to @Kerleyfries in our test lab. Yard-based prototyping will comence next Tuesday morning (weather permitting) with expected completion scheduled for the following weekend.
DYF will continue with normal operations following the completion of "35pack" with one small change: Direct all quotes and scheduling questions to Amy Hart, our new manager of operations.
