Spoke to a dealer

today and ask him when can the 2017 be ordered. He told me you can't order a 2017 until September He also told me you can't listen to that Internet garbage.

Does anyone have any reliable info on the 2017.

This guy was trying to get me to order a 2016 but the configuration I want he could not find it any where in the US.

 

I would trust what people have to say here before a salesman, they usually know little about the product and are in the business of SELLING you something.

 

I was told I wouldn't be able to get one in Canada until Octoberish so ordering would be later in the Summer

 

Every salesman I talked to when I was considering a new Tacoma knew NOTHING about them, nothing. For them to say "don't trust internet garbage" is hilarious, considering most don't know anything about what they're selling.

Btw I read somewhere on here that the 2017's can be ordered much earlier than September, I can't remember what date it was exactly but it was around summer if I recall.

 

I thought I read on here May for ordering 17s.

Dealers are useless for what you're wanting to know.

 

Try talking with a different dealer. Not saying you will be able to order one now but they all do things different.
I'm still waiting on two salesmen from a nearby dealer to contact me about buying a '16. I ended up ordering in February and took delivery late March from a different dealer.
And FWIW I bought my last two Tacoma's from the first dealer who I haven't heard back from.

Do not trust a salesman. I asked for a quote on a 2016 Sport with tow package and carpet floor mats, no other additions. The salesman email me back with two numbers. One was a SR5 and the other was a fully loaded TRD OR with P&T. I said that's not what I wanted. His reply was, there is no difference on the SR5 and the sport besides the push button start and the hood scoop. I am now talking to another dealer. Moral of the story, the internet peoples know more than the salesmen.

the issue with dealers is, the sales people need numbers -this month- and want that sale -ASAP-
they do not get paid to do orders and wait around for a sale some months later
