We actually tow it with my SC'd V8 4Runner. The trailer with all the stuff in it is about 4500-5000lbs and we tow mainly between 6k-10k feet elevation so the extra power is much needed in the mountains.

This might just be my imagination but it almost seems like there is slightly less wind resistance while towing with the RTT on the truck. Seems like it helps break the wind a little better than having a 2 foot wall of trailer above the back of the truck for the wind to hit. With the RTT the trailer only stands 6-8in higher than the RTT. The way I see it, the RTT acts like a wing or spoiler that some trucks towing 5th wheels and other large trailers use. I also noticed about 1 MPG better fuel economy for the trip but I'll have to take a few more trips before I can say definitively.

Question for the Tepui Kukenam owners. I just picked up my tent and I seem to be missing some hardware. The hardware list says I should have 2 10mm bolts to attach the ladder and I don't have those. Then I look at the instructions on installing the ladder and it says to use the 6mm bolts which I don't have and which aren't on the hardware list.

Did anyone else experienced issues like this? And what is the correct hardware to attach the ladder?

    Thanks

Girlfriend and I decided to get out for the night last night. This was the third night in the tent and the first night in the rain. The tent is still exceeding my expectations. IMG_20160423_072901957.jpg

Still have only used my tent once... Got to camp last night, set up, and got the worst migraine I've ever had. My girlfriend ended up driving me home so I wouldn't puke in the tent. I did rest up there for a couple hours trying to get better though. Hopefully I'll be using it next weekend.

Hosted a beach camping trip this weekend for the young men in my church. I felt like the RV owning camp host at a camp site since I had my RTT. Lol.

kids love the tent for that reason. my friends' two little boys love it and insist I set it up whenever I'm at their house. Its a tree house, fort, moon lander...you get the idea.

Where did you buy your tent? For the ladder you should have 4 of the longer bolts that attach the ladder brackets to the tent base. Then two shorter ones plus a fender washer, and nylon washer that attach the ladder to the brackets.
