Broke the upper passenger side redline hood strut mount when trying to install.... damnit. Maybe I'll just wait till a mod n meet and get help then because right now I'm defeated over freaking hood struts :pout:

Also took the truck to Toyota for the 20k service and they at first said they weren't allowed to disable the seat belt chime and then after talking with one of their "technical reps" the service rep said they could not at all with the 2015s.... I call BS though.

first i completely agree with whoever made the suggestion of taking classes first. secondly there's no need in going over board on a welder unless your going to do it every day. i weld and fabricate every day and for home use i've got a lincoln 140 it'll run up to .035 wire and can be run with gas (75% argon mix) it's a great little welder and runs off regular househol current. only my opinion

wire fed welders are generally easier to learn and use especially on new metal, however, it will serve you best to learn both. if you enjoy it get your certifications it could always serve as a fallback job

I learned on a Lincoln power mig 140, been a trusty little machine... Next I'm going to get a Miller Millermatic 200,211,212, or 252(haven't decided yet)

I've only done my doors, been too lazy to do the rest. I'll have to give it another shot after I deaden the roof and such.

image.jpg Went to the beach today, had to pull my buddy's 4x4 chebby out of the sand 3 times. The first time it was sitting on axles. I was pretty pleased with my "little" truck.

Give me some money so I can fill in this info
Buy a Lincoln for infrequent home use. They are trustworthy. Do not buy a harbor freight welder, they are cheap for a reason
