Hey guys.. I've been searching the web and cannot find much information on my next task. I've been trying to find out if it's possible to add a revtek 3 inch lift to my truck that already has a 6 inch fabtech lift. It's a 2006 tacoma 4 door 4 wheel drive. automatic.. let me know what y'all think..

    thanks

2 ten inch kicker cvt subs, pioneer deck and alpine 1000 watt class D amp, and flowmaster exhaust, 4 inch camburg lift spindles and my coilover is adjusted to 1" (5inch total) in front and 3" All Pro leafs, KING off road racing reservoir shocks and coil-overs, KR FAB CUSTOM BUMPER with three 9" HELLA 4000 Race LIGHTS , HID headlights with rigid amber LEDs , "KR Fabrication" custom built bumper, sliders and tiregate, Full size spare with matching rim, custom bed bar with two amber off road lights, cb radio, also BHLM (thanks Ray), and debagged
so 9" total..?? to be honest im not a big fan of big lifts on these tacos... except for Damellos Beast haha... Are u looking for more of a show are performance..?? ANd y do u wanna add more lift to your 6" Fabtech... also i dont think it would be good for the truck by adding lifts together... if i understand it right(someone correct me if I am wrong) each lift is designed for a special purpose and not designed to put together like that... just my 2cents.. lol

6 inches is too much, let alone 9 inches. Keep the 6. ;)

Plus stacking lifts is a no-no.

What is the downside to adding the 3" Revtek to my 6" Fabtech? Are there any negative things involved with the revtek in general? I was reading and it seems that revtek had the market locked down.. they took care of all the problems other companies were running into... What other way would you guys suggest as a lift for my truck? I was considering the body lift, but I have a friend who has it and he said he wished he hadn't got it because it changed the way it drives at high speeds.. so give me some feedback on various ways to lift it and what you guys think about whatever.. I'm curious here.. thanks guys

The revtek is a spacer lift which is going to make your ride really stiff. If you are all about getting height then 6" (fabtech or pro comp) with coilovers would be the way to go. You can go higher, but its not the best thing to do

to be honest bro its just not a good idea.... cuz stacking things like that is just NOT something that u wanna do especially to a nice truck like that ya know??.... i had a buddy of mine install two 3" spacers (6" total) on his Ranger and he took it only on a dirt road untill he he heard a CLUNK!! he looked at his front left spacers and saw that his left side was on a gangster lean.. when he looked his spacers actually came outta place and damn near destroyed his stock coilover.... what im saying is u can do what u want but its just not a good idea as all on this thread have said.... and my opinion is i would do it the right way and be SAFE as opposed to anything else... U can get a custom lift and that would maybe be the only way is what i think... or like jhodge was saying u can do a suspension lift...?? But take my word with a grain of salt lol.... i think all of us would agree 6" is pretty bad ass enough... unless u never plan on taking on any dirt what so ever lol... just do more research and even ask the left companies (i.e procomp and fabtech) and get there 2 cents if ya still are trying to figure out some answers.... But like i said before each lift is designed for a specific purpose and design and not made to stack on each other like that.... good luck bro and i hope u get what u want...

I really appreciate the legit feedback from you.. and the rest of you as well.. I like my 6 suspension, but I just want more.. and more .. and more.. so I might just try the 3 inch spacers.. and add a 3 inch body on top of that.. then try for 37s.. I'm shooting for 12 inches lift.. plus 2 more on top of my current 35s..

you can stack the lifts as long as the fabtech isnt already using a spacer on stock strut (which i dont think they do) problems with doing it are pretty much same as putting spacers on a stock truck it puts cv's at an angle and can make alignment go little wierd causing odd tire wear ... that said you wouldnt want revtek since they are a 2 part spacer with one part being intended for inside factory strut.. you would want something like these http://www.extremetrucktoys.com/5-6_tac_lift.htm I have used their kits alot and have had 0 problems but its up to you... you could also run body lift which alot of guys will give you hard time for but I have run them for years for little extra clearance... they can just be little ugly if you dont lift the bumpers and fill gaps

Why with 2" of lift would you only put 37s? I'm pretty sure you could fit 39-40s on that
