I spent a month on the road ~9500km, living out of my 06 Tacoma.

I drove ~9500 km, visited and photographed 10 cities for a client, biked 20-60km every day exploring the cities. Slept in my truck 12 nights, hotels or airbnb for the rest of the trip.

    • Chicago - Rad waterfront trails, taxis tried to kill me, terrible driving, expensive, cold and windy, friendly people.

    • Indianapolis - Nice river trails, easy to get around, some rough neighborhoods, rad velodrome, cool downtown area.

    • Pittsburgh - crazy steep hills and driving, rad waterfront trails, cool bike museum, nice people, rad bike shop.

    • Washington - Terrible driving, rad trails, touristy, expensive, neat to explore.

    • Raleigh NC - Lots of rad brew pubs, a bit sketchy, nice universities.

    • Philadelphia - A bit rough, cool city, tourist spots were a bit anti-climatic, rad riverfront trails, dope skateboard scene, sketchy neighborhoods on the Camden side...

    • NYC & Jersey - Amazing riverfront trails, lots to see and do. Cabs tried to kill me. Expensive.

    • Boston - Terrible driving and biking. I got lost constantly. Really expensive. The riverfront trails were decent. Cabs tried to kill me.

    • Toronto - Good bike trails and bike lanes, driving is decent, cabs tried to kill me.
Attached are a few of the photos I thought you guys might enjoy.

Ah, waking up to street cleaners in walmart parking lots at 4am wasn't fun. Drove through a few big snow storms and rain storms. I was trespassing to get a photo and someone threatened to call the cops, snuck into a few hotels to get photos from rooftops and top floors, had some sketchy encounters with a few people late a night, but for the most part a played it safe, kept my valuables out of sight, parked in well lit safe locations etc. Truck did great.

Where are these Rad Waterfront Trials that you speak of In Chicago? I know their are some really nice walking trails down by the Chicago River. But nothing for OFF-Road trials.

Brought back so many memories. Used to camp in the outskirts, and rode bike into the city to the events/exhibits. College student affordable trips.

    Wonderful pics! Thanks for sharing.
