What have I done to my 3rd Gen today. I stared longingly at it while I slowly installed some Roadkill mat in my Belair. It has been nice buying new stuff and putting it on or swapping it out. Nice and clean and fresh, but alas, I have been neglecting (procrastinating) the car for 2 months and the heat is coming fast.

What have I done to my 3rd gen lately?
Drove it to the dealership and dropped it off for a few days so they could try and figure out why my JBL stereo isn't working right. Sounds like it's playing under water, tons of bass and severely muddled.
They told me the AMP was out and new ones are on backorder (apparently existing customers aren't as important as potential customers? I know Toyota has them because they are still building new trucks with the AMPS in them, whatever).
Anyway, my salesman convinces the manager switch out amps from a loaner vehicle. The loaner truck was newer than mine and barely had any miles on it so I was fine with it. Pretty cool of them, actually.

So a week or two later, I drove the truck back in AGAIN and sat around for a couple hours while they switched the amp. Guess what? It didn't fix it.

    Yay Toyota techs! :taco:

They opened a case with Toyota and I'm told they will probably have to replace the head unit.

Meanwhile, it's been weeks without my stereo and Bluetooth capabilities. Kinda lame but still loving my truck.
Haven't got an update on the fix date yet, hopefully next week.

Thanks for the compliment. I bought these new. I decided against dipping them. My grille is dipped and the V6 emblem on the tailgate is dipped.

The sumo springs are not connected at both ends, they are only bolted to the top of the leafspring, so the downward travel of the suspension isn't affected obviously the limit comes by how far the frame drops when you add load to it. I do notice a slight more stiffness, maybe just more responsive. I don't get that left to right throw back-and-forth when going over railroad tracks or things of that nature with the springs now. In the end, it has definitely given me peace of mind to know that those crappy leaf springs are not going to be an issue anymore. I could probably put 2000 pounds in the bed and really not even phased the truck . I'm damn glad I did it

Can I ask where you got the black 2016 badges? I don't want to dip mine, and I have only been able to find 2nd Gen black badges for sale.

It was just a bad attempt at humor from some other thread where someone chastised someone for not raking their yard. Sorry if I offended the OP.

To anyone else that got offended, it's the internet for crying out loud. :crapstorm:

That is exactly what I want to do to my doors.

Did the TRD emblems come from eBay?
