    I should have taken a picture of my Tacoma hitch wiring, wire nuts, splices, electrical tape, zip ties, soldered wires, shrink tube, more zip ties, speaker wire and a whole host of crap. This kind of surprising since the rest of the truck is in really good shape. I ended up unplugging it all and throwing the entire lot in the bin and ordered a new harness.

    It did. But it wasn't as much weight as it looks like. I load it much more for adventures. It does look more and more like Marc might have hit a home run with the Foxes.

    Did you do this because of a vibration on launch or was it starting to squeal? Or both?

    some say hell no it's way too risky others say it's mad easy:notsure:

    the elocker is easy

    the 8.4'' is fucking stupid.

    the 7.5'' its ridiculously stupid to work on and unless you have a 90 degree micrometer i wouldn't do it.

    just take your time and buy the proper tools and take more time. any third member axle is easy to do, that front is kinda a pita but again proper tools and taking your time its not bad. if not, buy a build third and install yourself as its much easier

    Well I'm just Open-Open I don't have the e-locker. I shall one day replace my factory 4.10s with 4.88s. I suppose if I found a good deal on an axle with the e-locker I'd maybe swap it.

    Well setting the 8.4 is a pain as its with shims and no install kit comes with them and the cost 2 bucks a shim from toyota. And you don't know what size you need until you measure. Then you have to guess what size to buy..

    So your diff could be down a while.

    The front is just..stupid. Fucking clamshells. I wish i had been able to afford an ARB when i did mine because i definitely don't want to redo it.

    How bad is the front? I already knew I'd be fucking around with shims for a while... if I'm going to do it I'm going to be anal and get 0 degrees down the whole driveline. Is the front a dealbreaker?

    Covers the 35's nicely w/ the ford 9" in the rear.

    Quick Question:

    I've had the SPC Upper Control Arms on for a few months now and recently discovered something a little fishy. After about 3000 miles I had the truck on a lift and was checking wheel bearings and such when I noticed that the driver's side upper ball joint has a significant amount of play in it. I have the newer style of control arm (as most do too now) minus the greasable zerk. Anyone else run into this?

    Traded my hammered 96 that was getting worse every time I looked at it for an on-off road dirt bike and $250 :D Been wanting another dirt bike forever. Happy to see the 96 go, it was in way worse shape than I initially thought.
