Yeah, xt 1x11 is a bit cheaper than sram, but sram just released a super cost effective 1x11 set up. I think it's right on par with Shimano.

Yup, just totalled up on Universal Cycles. I wonder what the weights and differences are. Especially the cassette. I've ridden this bike SS so much, the cassette/derailleur weight is certainly felt when I put gears on it.

Shimano XT 1x11 with 11-42 cassette and Wolf Tooth 30t Chainring = $389
Sram NX 1x11 with 11-42 cassette and included 32t chainring on crank = $345

At least Shimano and NX use the standard hub body instead of the XD driver. A new wheel could be cheaper than the XD Driver for my Chris King's

Will have to look in to this. I have a niner sir nine that I shaved the cable routing brackets off from the down tube and had new ones put on the bottom of the top tube in a one by nine set up. I could ride all the trails in Tucson and even did the whiskey 25 with that set up a few years back. I am a little bigger now and 3 senoran dogs in one day don't help. A 1x11 would be nice.

Used to have the SRAM hookup and could get below cost. Got a couple x0 and red kits.

Did the 50 once, won't do Sadows events anymore. Courses aren't fun and the fees are high
