09 Tacoma TRD OFF ROAD v6 4x4 access cab
OME 3.5 inch Heavy Duty lift, BFG T/A 285 75 16, on board ARB compressor, ARB bumper with fogs and drive lights, custom on board switches, Line X flares, grill, rear bumper, body frame cat back exhaust
Bought an 06 Indigo Ink Pearl TRD Off Road Access Cab 6 Speed w/99k miles for $14,200 before TTL. It did come with a mess of problems; bad bearings, bad seals, blown cv boot, no a/c, no cruise control, no compass, thermometer, no brake pads (destroyed rotors), bad calipers, destroyed brake drums. I fortunately did purchase the extended powertrain for $2500 which is good because the cv boot, bearings and seals, which are covered, costs about $2800 for the fix from Toyota. In addition, the truck smelled like a casino- cigarette smell which was overbearing. The cigarette smell, front rotors and pads all fixed and Im in the hole for about $1k already and I haven't fixed the a/c, cruise control or the temp/compass yet. I assume this will also be very expensive. The dealership who sold me the truck (best guess is that they are all liars and I hope they go out of business soon) has agreed to pay $500 for the rear drum and shoe job which costs $588 from Toyota. I filed a claim against this dealership with Toyota Corporate which has been incredibly helpful thus far or as much as they can be anyway. I will say though that I do love the truck aside from all of the mess. It does have the frame replacement and it is the color, model and tranny I wanted and the price could have been good if it wasn't for the dealership's lack of diagnosing what the truck was in need of. They let me drive this truck from MI to CO with no brakes. How could they? I couldn't diagnose these things in the parking lot. I had to get home and had a 1500 mile journey ahead of me. Im in shock with how the dealership has treated me through this issue. They have called me a liar, they have ignored my calls and emails and have tried to make it seem as if they are doing me a favor by offering $500 for the drum and shoe job. It's insulting. I want them to cover the a/c ($230 from Toyota) cruise control ($700 from Toyota) and the temp/compass gauge ($?) plus reimburse me for the front pads, rotors and calipers that I had to pay for the day after getting back from my drive home with it. Not to mention the chemical treatment for the smell. That cost me $300 albeit it totally worked. I don't imagine they will pay which means I got totally screwed. What is true insult to injury is that this truck purchase had to be made because my last Tacoma (06 Indigo Pearl TRD Off Road Access cab 6 speed w/99k miles and frame replacement, same as the one I just bought) was stolen from me about two months ago. In the end, the truck will be great. We will do what we always do (number 9 Tacoma and number 4 build!!): OME 3" w/885 coil overs, Dakar leaf pack, ARB bumper w/fog, 285/75/16 BFG TKO2, 1.25 in Spyder Spacers, Line X flares and grill, ARB compressor, MagFlow 40 or 50 and hopefully DT long or short tube headers, I haven't decided yet. We had our topper for the stolen truck made and it had just arrived when the last truck was stolen. Its an ATC mid rise with opening windoors on both sides and it came with a factory Line X finish. As you can see, Im totally psyched for my build to come and it keeps me positive while I sort out all of this nonsense with the POS that told me it was a great truck and ready to go. Being a good salesman means you know how to highlight what matters and you can capture the consumer's needs within what you want to sell them. It is a skill, an art. I know because I am damn good at it. Lying however, is for chumps who don't hold any true skill in the art of negotiation. They owe me an apology which I have yet to receive including an apology for calling me a liar at least four times. Thanks for reading gang! Hope to see many of you in Moab in June!

$27k for a 2011 w/ 4.9k miles, it's already lifted, has a sub woofer, and nice wheels with new 285 tires. ...and it used to be owned by Trey Parker the co-creator of South Park. The paper work is in it, and it was bought in Long Beach California. Would be cool to find out for sure though. I bought it in Denver Colorado.

I just got it this month, and it's just sat in a garage in the mountains is what I was told. It's basically new which is why I was willing to pay the high price.

That would be awesome if it was owned by Trey Parker. I am a huge fan of all of his work. Logistically it makes sense. They go to Denver fairly often to do research for South Park, it would make sense that he had a vehicle there. Being a seemingly down to earth guy I could see him driving a nice Tacoma on his visits.

When the dealer told me, it was hard to believe. But he did show me the paperwork. It does have the original receipt from Cali with his name on it. And Carfax also says it's from California. Plus having low miles with all the upgrades, it does make sense. Pretty crazy to think about since I've always been a fan myself.
