arb bumper, 3 inch spacer lift (it needs to go!), 3 inch OME lift,
    I moved recently to NH.

They have vehicle inspections in this state and might as well be the Third Reich of of no fun.

My truck is too high, my lights are blacked out and thus illegal, and the tires too wide.

Now for the lift problem they said it is the rear bumper that is too high...I have an idea and it involves sandbags in my truck bed to pass that part.

Now for my tires I need fender flares that will extend past my 12.5 inch wide wheels/tires. I am not sure bushwackers will do that.

Is there an alternative to bushwacker fender flares?

If I can find some good looking fender flares I will play by NH rules...otherwise I will need to register in another state...

I can't believe I moved to a state in which my truck is so bamf it is illegal!

Lower the bumper fix the lights if need be you can make your own flares

Do you really want to drive around all the time with sand bags in your bed.

Buy some cheap take off tires and wheels to put on for inspection. It will solve your tire width and bumper height problem at the same time. After inspection, store them away for the next year.

Your post made me suspect that you're this guy.

I hate it when anti-obnoxious laws prevent people from throwing rocks at my windshield, having lights you can barely see at night, and having their bumpers at window-height just because that's 'unsafe'

The thing with that idea is once your vehicle no longer conforms to the state code your fair game !!

Depending on the mood of the officer your vehicle can be placed out of service till it is brought back to legal standards

Which might mean a hefty towing bill or if one gets to mouthy which I think most of us have done being quite stupid the vehicle being put in impound at the going storage charge per day till the owner has it towed home.

Yes, there are a few dick cops that would pull you over, but for the most part if you're behaving yourself, you won't have any problems. At least here in the south anyway. May be different up north.

I lived in Mass as a kid and Maine as a teenager. Didn't do a whole lot of modding to my vehicles back then. Now in LA it's only a matter of time before you see a car / truck that's way more illegal than yours that's still running free from the not so long arm of the law. You have to pretty much try to get pulled over for an illegal mod. The only fix-it pull-over I got was from not having working tail lights when my old truck was stolen and the thief cut the wire while stealing the CD player.

Please, that is rare but is what insurance is for.

My lights are plenty visible at night, and perhaps if you don't want my rear bumper to meet your window you should act as a safe driver and keep proper distance between you and other vehicles.

And way to go being incredibly rude overall.

Good point, that does make registering in Florida a good argument.

That is how I roll. I don't drive like an idiot and let's be honest a Tacoma with 33's isn't exactly capable of moving that fast.

As a southerner now living in Dispora I gotta say the "live free or die state" is really just the "well we are not Massachussetts" state.

    Disapointing...

    Nah...I'm good.

The South and Mid-western states are definetely the most free.

Wyoming is probably the most free state from everything I've read.

I will say this though, conceal carry in NH is free.

I do think it's funny though I can buy a grenade launcher in New Hampshire no problem but god forbid my tires be exposed.

Look on the bright side.... no smog inspections there.

BTW, Mass has the same rules/ inspection requirements.

It's the "Nanny State". I agree OP. Same with seat belt laws. When anyone preaches to me about wearing seat belts they are truly preaching to the choir. I Always wear my seat belt. I just don't appreciate a law requiring it. Next thing you know, there will be a law requiring every one to brush their teeth before retiring for the night. If you don't, the tooth fairy will write you a ticket. YMMV

I was rude. Sorry. There are legitimate safety reasons for having mandatory visible lights and safe bumper height. If you don't get that, and your answer is for people to avoid having collisions with you, then you sound like one of those guys who has no consideration for other people in the road. Vehicles have impact zones for a reason. Not to play the cliche role, but when you've seen some tragic vehicle collision deaths it changes your perception of these safety regulations. I know what a high bumper does to a head in a car seat and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. You're probably not an idiot - I'm just outspoken about this stuff sometimes.

NH folks are proud they have neither sales tax nor personal income tax though. It's why all the Boston burb crowd is in NH shopping on weekends. And moving there in hoards, driving up land prices, crowding roads and changing the political landscape.

But everyone has revenue from somewhere. Property tax will make you poor!

Folks I know there are glad to be 'from' there.

Not the most corrupt state in the US - Illinois has more rules and regs than you can count. Stay the hell away from Illinois.
