    You know...I've considered a '01-'04 regular cab 2wd for a track truck. I've got the rear suspension design in mind as well as swapping out the real axle for a subie read diff. This has potential.

    Motor set up? I vote 4.7L motor from 1st gen Tundra, oh and a s/c. Thatll be a nice, modest build. Haha

    Nah, turbo the 2.4. I helped a buddy do this years ago and holy hell was that truck quick! He didn't do anything with the rear axle or gears, he did a 3/3 drop on it with rims and tires then we put in the turbo, fuel management, IC, up-pipe, down pipe and BOV and that thing would pull on a super charged SRunner

    I came from T4R.org, but made an account here first after lingering around for a few weeks while I was deployed. There was more 4Runner info on this site than on the dedicated 4Runner site haha. But seriously, I just wanted to point out that the OP made this post, calling out trolls that start threads and are never heard from again, and yet, he hasn't replied since starting this thread :crazy:

    I'm not much of a forum person, I know I'm saying this on a forum, but I've been a member here ft a long time, but I don't say much because I don't have to. Just leave or learn to deal with it. There's an ignore button if you see an individual that makes statements that you don't agree with. I've found out more useful information here than I could have anywhere else. Some people don't like to search, so the same crap gets asked about or posted numerous times, oh well. Deal with it.

    It's not a third gen thing either. I think it comes down to being made or tin and not steel.

    I remember you! Same name for me, as well. I recently (2 months ago, or so) returned the 4Runer to stock and traded it in on the taco. Haven't regretted it yet and my 4Runner was built up pretty decent. Glad to see friendly faces :)

    FWIW, if we deleted every dup thread our reports would blow up all day, and it alone be a never ending task...then you'll have the follow up PM's / threads "What happened to me thread?" "U fucking nazis are too strict here." Etc.
    we can't make everyone happy, it's impossible. You'll still have people complaining about plants being green.
