Fear The Walking Dead

I watched this show/episode for the first time. Seems like the same ole same ole with people making glaringly dumb decisions and getting into avoidable trouble. "Hey...there's the fuselage of a downed jet....let me go inside". Seriously??

 

Teenagers are not that smart, they can be pretty dumb.

 

I think the Baja house has Strands family at it , judging by the way he said " yeah YOUR family " to Madison during this episode

 

Maybe it HAD his family...Whoever he was trying to reach via the sat phone is no longer responding. My guess is they get to this Baja destination to find it overrun...

 

They farted around too much getting to the boat, then stood there a while longer with their hands on the boat before moving it to the water, while the clean cut looking zombies were in their face.

 

that was boring and poorly shot. The California coastal waters are NEVER flat like that. It's obviously a lake like Universal's back lot lake

There are shots of them trying to fight the zombies instead of just running away. wtf is this.

Will America ever be able to embrace another zombie show after The Walking Dead?

 

The only part I didn't get was when the old dude pulled his pistol out while staring at a herd coming over that hill. They were so far away. Turn and run dummy...

 

Funny how Madison was on the boat at sea level looking through her binoculars at the crew on the top of a cliff, but the view from her perspective when shown was probably taken from a drone 200 feet in the air.
Also how did 1/2 the plane end up on the mainland and some crash survivors were miles out in the Pacific?
As for being boring that was definitely the best episode of the season, but that's not saying much.

 

Did you not watch Lost? Don't question plane crashes and islands...

I am also still questioning these swimming walkers...If the only way to kill a walker is to destroy the brain, then wouldn't drowning be sufficient? The brain is the only part still allowing the walkers to function but if it is fully submerged without any oxygen it would suffocate and be destroyed the same as if someone pierced it.

Right?

 

I don't think the respiratory system is functioning therefore the brain does not need air from the lungs to animate the corpse. This along with many other functions of the human anatomy are why you can't have zombies. For TV though it's all good.

 

Well, If you use logic, where does all this energy these zombies have come from? If you think of it, unless you are a self powered robot, they would still need water and a lesser degree food, to move after awhile, but this is TV and they are playing by different rules + if you think too logically it kind of wrecks a fantasy TV show.

It was similar to seeing Jaws for the first time. After that, nobody wanted to go back into the water. Damn swimming dead. Or, Fear the Floating Dead.

 

I don't think they are swimming so much as floating along with the currents

 

Yeah, just when you thought Jaws was the only thing to fear in the ocean. There needs to be a scene where Travis is fixing the water inlet, then from behind him.......duunnn dunnn... duuuunnnn duun... duuunnnnnnnn dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dunnnnnnnnnnn dunnnn,......... you see Jaws coming at Travis, but before it reaches him, a Zombie takes a chunk out of him and Jaws darts away at lighting speed frightened.

 

Do you not recall the Governor's heads in fish tanks?
