Yea not quite as easy. Still not hard just time consuming as hell.

We had a 2 stroke beta 300 out riding with us yesterday

I'm not sure tbh. I didn't get a good look at it. I think an RR though

Does anyone else's helmet shift on their heads while checking behind you before changing lanes? Or is it just my helmet is starting to get loose?

Helmet should not be moving while you're wearing it.

Edit- Have you lost weight? Or was it dropped at some point?

That's what I thought, it only does it going highway speeds, but I guess the padding has broken in too much. Dammit

Finally got sick of riding a dirty motorcycle this weekend and gave the Ninjette a bath and a wax job. Cleaned and lubed the chain while I was at it, too (and the rear wheel, from the splatter, lol)

Most helmets have replaceable padding. I need to replace my cheek pads soon

New to this thread, and semi new to bikes in general. Only had pit bikes in the past. But just got a 98 KLX300R yesterday, pretty excited to get riding eventually. Sadly day one of ownership has started with the oil drain plug taking the threads with it when I took it out for the first time. Anyone use those piggyback self threading plugs? Trying to avoid helicoils. Thanks guys.

Used one in a Chrysler 300 at the auto shop I used to work for with a cheap customer who tried to change his own oil and stripped the threads (steel drain plug plus aluminum oil pan, plus a customer who was built like a gorilla on steroids).
It worked ok, but honestly you're better off drilling and tapping the hole for a slightly larger plug instead.

Considered that as well, just concerned about metal shavings in the engine. Id just run oil through it a bunch of times to get the shavings out, but still makes me nervous.

Drain the oil into a clean pan, cut the new threads, then pour the old oil through to flush out any shavings.
Or, if you've already drained the old oil out, buy a quart or two of cheap-ass store brand oil to flush it with instead. :notsure:

Yeah, I'm gonna just tap it. I have a stockpile of cheapo walmart oil for stuff like this.

    Time sert it.
With the case being aluminum it wont hurt anything in the motor, clean it the best you can- run it it then change the oil.
Ive done quite a few stripped spark plugs like this, get a time sert kit thats a size bigger than the drain plug- they come with a tap.
You dont have to drill, just tap the hole and put in the insert using hi temp/hi strength loctite then you can re-use your stock drain plug. Anti seize is your friend.
