I have been a "Jeep man" my whole life. I've had 4 vehicles and they have all been a Jeep. Jeep makes nothing that appeals to me these days, so I went after something I liked for a lot of reasons.

Got a 2006 PreRunner Access cab. Very happy with the truck, but would like to upgrade some aspects of it

What I want to know is:

-can OEM power windows and locks be retrofitted?
-can OEM fog lights be retrofitted?
-can OEM keyless entry be retrofitted?
-I can get a OEM 6-disc changer for cheap....how hard of an install is this?
-What type of aftermarket radios fit the factory dash housing?

I'm very happy with this truck, and want to do these few things to enhance my enjoyment.

    Here's the truck

I believe your 06 AC is basically the same as my 08 DC. With that the fog lights are easy, the wiring is probably there. The 6-cd should be easy too. The dash is a double DIN unit.

Your other ?s I just don't know. But from reading here a lot of the trucks have the wiring harness and you have to connect the modules.

Now if you have crank windowes then you are going to have some work to make them elec.

dude, i was the same way with the jeeps. i loved the wrangler and always wanted to get one and turn it in to an off-roader. but ever since they changed to body style in 2006-2007 i can't stand the look of them anymore.

I personally like the JK better than the TJ or YJ. Especially the 4 door Rubicon(s).

4 doors and weak engine options are why I don't like the new Jeeps. The 4.0 straight 6 was a great engine. Excellent low end HP and torque. The new Jeep 3.7L V6 is rated higher in both categories, but you gotta wind it up to higher RPMs to get it. Which in the off-road world is not always a good option.

I don't see listed if it is a 4 or a V6, if it is a 4, the foglamp wiring to the bumper will most likely not be present.
