Interior Dome LED Light Kits

FWIW, I pieced mine together from eBay, and am happy with (what appears to me to be) a pretty close color match.

 

I would like kit2, but want to make sure all lights are same color, cool white, is it possible to ensure this is what I'll get?

 

PM sent, the lights shouldn't be looking like that. Seems like they came from the supplier wrong.

 

i just want to update everyone @MedlinAround has contacted me and assured me that this is not normal and that his interior light kit does match, this is very unusual and for some reason there must have been some sort of mixup with his distributor. he is sending out new bulbs ASAP!

My kit was the exact same way yours was (installed about a month ago.) I like the cool blue dome light, but wished they were all cool blue. My others (full kit) are warm white. Guess it just didn't bother me enough to mention.

 

Interested to see if all 4 of the readings were the same color or was the 2 plate lights a slight difference in your Kit 2. We've noticed some people install a plate light in the cab with an interior and are not getting the exact same color of the reading lights. The lights are the same light so there is no way to tell them apart. After they switch them, they come closer to matching.

Not trying to sound smart in asking the question, we get tons of PM's about some crazy stuff that is a really easy fix sometimes, so just trying to see if the guy is sending us the correct light batch. Thanks

 

Purchased the LED dome and map lights from OP back in November and haven't had any problems. Mine work fine.

 

Personally, I like the color of the map lights better than the dome I got, the dome seems too bluish. I shot these pictures with manual 'daylight' balance, and did zero tweaking to the results.



but its good enough as-is. my camper shell can be any color I want!

 

This is a reasonable question, no offense taken. The map lights are definitely the same, warm white. The dome is the cool blue, that I like. So, the map lights & plate lights are the same size? I never really paid attention to the plate lights, just made sure they worked. I cant check now, but could there be cool blue lights in the plate & I just need to swap both map & plate lights?

Absolutely correct. They are identical lights. This may fix your problem somewhat, may not.

 

fwiw I'd describe those map lights as 'natural white'... warm-white is distinctly more yellow.

Correct. @ROK-NJA lights are not even close. His reading look a yellow to the bluish dome.

 

OK, I agree. I need to touch up w/ my LED temperature differences, lol.

 

No worries. Like I said, it may not fix it and they may look just like they do, may not. Sometimes people put one of one, one of the other, and have 2 different toned cab lights and I start receiving PM's until they are like, "Hmmm well that fixes my problem."
