haha she knows already. I wanted courthouse wedding to save for a house instead of wedding. But she wasnt buying that. Shes been good, i gave her a realistic budget and we're under it. Plus i got to do most of the design shit. Tonight is florist final meeting. Thank god the florist is gifting us our wedding because they're family.

Seems like I read somewhere backing into any space is technically illegal.

I am going to contest it. I'll try to tomorrow because the citation hasn't been entered into their system yet. Pretty stupid. Have been backing into those spots by my work place for a while. Not sure what pissed them off today.

I got a parking ticket in San Diego because I parked on a corner at an intersection. I wasnt directly on the corner, I was about 6" away from the red painted part, but it was right at a stop sign. I was ticketed for "impeding a crosswalk" but there was no crosswalk there....I flagged down a SDPD cruiser that happened to be driving by and asked him WTF and he said the parking enforcement wasn't affiliated with SDPD but that was a bullshit ticket for sure. He also said you basically can't fight them as theyll take it to a court setting and even if you win its still lost time and money. I was so pissed.

I contested a ticket once.. I guess you could say I "spent" 45 minutes.

I saved $1300 in doing so.

    that is stupid
i started backing into spaces when i had my '78 ford f-250 because the turning radius was so shit and the truck was so big that it was practically impossible to pull in straight
it is way easier and quicker to back into a space with my truck now and I don't even use the back up camera that much i pretty much only use it when I pull in straight when its time to leave i can see more in the camera then out my back windows

but then you also look into the safety of it
Backing into a space is so much safer because when you back into a space there is far less moving inside said space when you back out of a space your line of sight is far less through the rear windows especially with passengers or even a camper shell
if you look at the safety factor then you see it is safer to back into a space
that is why you see fire/medical back in
it is safer getting out as well as quicker

also if you aren't good at backing in the practice a little it isn't that hard intact you'll find that when you can do it consistently you will be able to do it quicker and easier then forward

also if you can back into spaces you learn the spaceial features of your vehicle so it makes parallel parking and driving in reverse easier

    I only back into spaces
I think it should be the law to back into spaces It is far safer
    far quicker
    far easier
and it helps you with other driving skills

It was more than that, $1300 is about what I had removed in court because they were nonsense.

Speeding, no proof of registration (had the license plate sticker but didn't have the proof of registration on me), red light violation.

There's a reasonably long story behind it all to paint the right picture, but long story short - I didn't deny speeding and said I was doing so solely to avoid an accident, so that was admission of guilt and the speeding ticket stuck.

The others disappeared with proof of registration shown to the judge and red light violation being dismissed because it wasn't a violation in the first place, just had to prove it all.

Pull over was in Sebastopol and took 2.5 hours and included 2 separate vehicle searches and pat downs of me and my ex.

People suck at driving and parking enough as it is.

    Would not.

All we need in the world is a bunch of distracted twats backing into everything because they can see and don't know where the vehicle ends.
