Looking for a Camper Shell - San Diego Area

Afternoon All,
I will be entering the market for a new or used Hard shell / camper shell for my 2012 TRD Access Cab Tacoma.

If anyone has any suggestions on a good place to purchase in the San Diego Area, or knows of anyone trying to sell one of their own please let me know.

If you want a new one, try Valley Camper Sales in Escondido. Very reputable and they've been around a long time.

work done to a shell? I wished, I ended up selling mine because my skills in fiberglass and painting only go so far. What are you thinking of paying for the shell? Might be worth it to see what Toyota can sell it to you for. When I asked they said $1800 for a leer just without windoors and all.

I'll continue to hunt for the shell etc, I was more referring to suspension work etc.

I am new to the area and have only checked out a few shops.

 

I been looking on Craigslist for a camper shell again haven't found any but I been looking around at shops.

Well, if you don't mind one that's seen better days, I've got one I REALLY want out of my garage. $200
Snugtop for a 6' bed. Sliding side windows, fold-down sliding front window. Carpeted. Comes with LED interior lighting. Originally came with electric lock for the rear window. Barcelona Red color. Mounting rails have been reinforced with 3/16" aluminum.

Here's why it's $200.
The rear window is gone. Blew up when I hit a bump in Death Valley. The body is cracked in the corners. It's got deep scratches on the driver's side from hitting the ground while mounted to the truck (visualize that for a second). It was a great shell at one point, one of the best around. If you want to spend some time repairing and repainting it, it would be a great shell again.

I've since moved on to a Softopper. I miss the old hardshell, but the Softopper is more practical for my purposes anyway.

I can throw in some freebies with it, too. Like a spare side window and frame.

@Mach375 this sounds great, and i would be all over it if i had a place to work on it. I just moved out here from the east coast and live in Downtown SD - no room to store anything let alone tools etc. Ill keep my eyes peeled however, and will let anyone i come across know to get in touch with you.
