I installed my lift the day before yesterday (i had the shocks/coils assembled at a local shop then bolted them on)

Got it aligned yesterday morning and all was well.

This evening, in reverse at full lock backing out of a Target parking lot I heard a lout clunk from the front passenger side. I got out and inspected, nothing was apparently wrong.

The whole drive home I had to keep the steering wheel turned left (center at about the 10 o clock positon) to keep the truck straight. I'm going to the alingment shop first thing in the morning.

Any ideas as to what happened???

Copy that...I'm just hoping they didn't screw anything up. It drives fine, no vibes, i just have to keep the wheel to the left in order to stay straight

Nothing will be screwed up. Sounds like they didnt tighten something propperly. Nothing should be hurt by it. Keep me posted on what you find, and get your alinment print out so I can check it for ya. :)

The trucks aligned and it drives perfectly! I asked for a printout of the specs and the tech told me he had thrown it in a stack with a bunch of other ones because I didn't tell him in advance that I wanted it.

However...now the VSC light is on and won't turn off. when I turn off the VSC, it says "VSC OFF" but the indicator stays on. Also the "AUTO LSD" light does not come on like it used to when I would turn the VSD off.

The shop that did the alignment closed a half hour ago, and the stealeship service dept did too. I guess there's no harm in driving with it off till Monday?

there shouldnt be. You may want to go behind the front wheel, near the hub (Back side) and see if the electrical connector is connected propperly. Just un plug it, then plug it back,.

disconnected and reconnected. I was hoping that would have fixed it! I guess I'll have to drop by the garage Monday morning. Thanks for the suggestion!

I can't figure out how the screwed up the vsc by doing an alignment

Get a rack, bring it by the shop. We can have it in and out and on the way to the alignment shop in less than an hour!

Find the rack, find the place to do the alignment (our guy sucks, and I don't really have access to the rack), and we'll talk. It's a real simple swap on a Taco, so it won't be much. I can get you a price on a factory reman rack, if you want.

Let me know when you're ready. Like I said, it's real easy on a Taco, and won't take us long to get it done.

Problem is fixed! I dropped it by the dealership and they ran a diagnostic. They told me it was a bad speed sensor and they fixed it under warranty :D
