@jqueener How did the gears affect your freeway mpg's? I have the same engine and roughly the same tire size, but the 6-speed that has a lower overdrive than the AT's. Got 13 corrected MPG's on hwy 5 going 67 - 70 mph. RPM's around 2200. The camper definitely drags it down, but I'm considering 4.56's and don't want the freeway mileage to get worse.

The 2nd option is going with a crawl box when Inchworm finally puts it out.

i have only did one tank were i keep track of the mileage and it was about the same as it was before.14.8 average mpg hwy and city but it wasn't completely accurate i didnt start the trip meter right away. now that break in is over i will do anther tank and do the math. but it will be different for you with a 6 speed but you will get better torque. what is your stock ratio? i went from 3.73 to 4.56 and i could of gone 4.88 no problem. my rpms at 70 are about 2500 with my 285s.i want to go to 295s but im liking to extra power so i might not.
i really like the 2nd option. some day. SAS and dual cases.

I have 3.73's. My RPM's would probably. Be around 2700 at 70. I'll do the math later when I'm not at a wedding reception...

I was thinking of the single case.

    This one with 4.7:1 low.

I have a 6 speed. Went 4.56's and 35'. No problems could probably go 37's if I went to a radial tire. My bias ply's at 24 psi suck up some HP.

This is why i went 456. I figure if i ever want to go 35s i know it will be ok, as with stock and 33s it wasnt bad but there was definitely a loss of power when towing fully loaded with a 20 ft boat and all camping gear.

Corral Hollow. Not hard at all but the view at the top is beautiful. Could be a cool play to go camp before hitting Slick Rock.

Also, is the TW Slick Rock Thread up yet?

Filled up in Kettleman City, drove through Carrizo Plain, over the Temblor Range, down 33 to Taft, then took the windy part of 33 through Los Padres Forrest to Ventura, and up to SB. About 40 miles off road and over 2 mountain passes. Just filled up in SB... 15.25 MPG's. I don't get it. I'm guessing its an issue with aerodynamics since I only get 13 MPG's on the freeway. That's what happens when you slap a brick- shaped camper in your truck.

Closed after the river crossing. You can start on the south entrance, go to the river crossing, and then turn around. That alone will take 4-10 hours depending on how capable the crew you are going with is.

I'm kinda tired of wheeling the same trails. Let me know if anyone feels like having their balls hang lower than normal and run Niagara rim.

I've done Niagara Rim... in a SASed FJC  The only thing with Niagara is pretty much everywhere is a cliff side that is about 100meters that leads to death. It would be fun to run, but top heavy vehicles are going to have a "fun" time.
