Anybody else pull the trigger on a set of these?

 

Im not too far away from pulling the trigger on the P285s. hey @Sub_Par , did you ever take any more pics?

 

Sorry I have not, I have been super busy. We just had quartz countertops installed so I've been working on getting the kitchen finished up. I'll try to take some tomorrow provided it doesn't rain.

 

anybody use these in snow yet?

 

My buddy put these on his F350 diesel yesterday. Super quite is all he can tell me at the moment.

 

Thinking of possibly pulling the trigger on these.....Discount tire is running a special $50off if you spend over $300. I'm looking on ebay and they have them lt285/75/16 for $326 for two tires. If I purchase two sets and after the deal it comes out to $138 a tire which is a killer deal!!!!!

I just don't need tires quite yet. I may wait until the fall.

 

I still can't make up my mind on these or the 285 KO2. The falken is significantly cheaper and about 9lbs lighter. Falken isn't an E load tire either which I like. Idk man it's tough lol

Yea it seems that way. The big difference is that we are all aware of BFGs track record. These falkens are still pretty new.

 

Me too...I'm debating between these, ko2, and general grabber at2. Decisions decisions...lol

 

that discount tire deal was killer, i am awaiting my tires still! Sadly, i dont have the suspension set up to run 285's so i had to get them in 265 70 17. Came out to $475 shipped to my door!

Damn iPhone posted the one pic twice. But yea they look way more agressive in person, pictures do not do them justice. So far I am very happy with them, very quiet on road, no change in grip in dry or wet roads, and they look amazing. If these pass the test for winter then I will be extremely happy after the price I paid for them. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, but they are still really new so I have no idea how they will wear or do in winter.

 

By design this tread pattern will shed water much better than the BFG's and hence will get better wet road traction and be less likely to cause hydroplaning. The KO may have an improved rubber compound(at least I hope to god it does), but where they failed imo was not properly redesigning the tread. It still lacks a decent circumfrencial groove.

 

I have the P rated 265/70/17. They rubbed a lot on the mudflaps so those had to go then I even had to trim the fender slightly. I am stock suspension so once lift goes on I'm hoping the husky mudflaps I have will go on with no issues.

 

Set up looks good! I like how the tires really fill in the gap. I got the same tires and also have stock suspension with my stock Trd sport wheels. I was interested in getting spacers, would that push out my tires like yours?

 

It would, I don't remember what the stock offset is but these stealth 6's are 17x8.5 -10 offset. They poke out just past the fender flares but the tread is still inside of them, so even without the front flaps I don't get a ton of shit thrown onto the side of the truck. If you are going to get wheels eventually I would just skip the spacers, I don't like buying things temporarily until I buy I what I want, that's why I just got the wheels and tires all at once and then lift goes on.

 

I'm not sure how long It'll be till I get wheels so I figured spacers would give it a more aggressive look until I figure out what to do about wheels. I really like your setup it sticks out just a little bit. I would love some bronze stealth wheels but they have been out of stock
