*THE RTT Owners Thread (With BS)*

I hate picking up after other people. But I do it because I want to continue coming back and I want others to have the same privilege.

 

Lesson ive learned early: people are shitty. sucks you gotta clean up behind people

 

:/ there are some spots in my local area we camp at and it's just filled with broken bottles and stuff (college towns are notorious for this )

I do what i can but it'll just be back next time trashy folk show up again

 

I got an email back from Tepui and I think I have everything I need. It's just that the hardware identification chart/instructions don't match up with the hardware that's actually provided. I purchased the tent from REI. I can't wait to get this thing on my truck! My daughter was already having a blast while it was setup in the garage!

 

I agree. There's a different mentality these days. They're gonna need "your mother isn't here to pick up after you" signs pretty soon.

hey guys, Im getting a rtt and plan to mount it on two bed bars. Any tips on how to make it more secure so it won't get stolen? Security bolts or anything?

What brand RTT is that? There's like no branding on it, looks awfully similar to my Earth Tone Green RTT from Cascadia Vehicle Tents though

Aww that kinda stinks, is there a longer wait for the green ones or are they just hit or miss? At least you'll still be getting an RTT, and a Shasta at that!

 

yeah wanted the green, the gb is based on whats available and the green is barely there

 

speaking of trasheroos, has anyone found out a way to secure the trasheroo to the vehicle. I ask because just this past Saturday a couple of friends and I were planning to do some wheeling and trail clean up. I work graveyard shifts so I decided to put the trasheroo on the night before so I wouldn't forget it the next day since we were leaving as soon as I got home from work 8am. Well guess what, as soon as I pull up to my drive way guess what's missing from my rig. My brand new, never used trasheroo. I live in a very safe luxury town home complex, the only suspects I can think of are the neighbors kids right across from me. Every weekend they come home around 2-4am and one of their friends drives a white Jeep. I don't spy on them but my dogs will bark around that time every weekend and they are the ones pulling up when I look outside. I guess I learned my lesson the hard way.
